Now it’s time for my Division 2 regional championship predictions. There are some great games on tap that feature some very talented players.

REGIONAL 11 AT MUSKEGON ORCHARD VIEW

Newaygo vs. Grand Rapids West Catholic Prediction: Grand Rapids West Catholic Why? I just couldn’t pick against a backcourt of  Abbey Kimball Abbey Kimball 5'10" | PG Grand Rapids West Catholic | 2022 State #63 Nation MI  and  Cadence Dykstra Cadence Dykstra 5'9" | PG Grand Rapids West Catholic | 2023 State MI . It seems like Kimball is at the top of her game right now and that’s very dangerous.

REGIONAL 12 AT VICKSBURG

Wayland vs. Edwardsburg Prediction: Edwardsburg Why? They have 2 way players getting it done on both ends of the floor and controlling the glass. Ella Castelucci and Macey Laubach continue their breakout seasons and Edwardsburg brings home the regional title.

REGIONAL 15 AT LIVONIA CLARENCEVILLE

Detroit Country Day vs. Warren Regina Prediction: Detroit Country Day Why? The talented youth at Detroit Country Day is coming together at the perfect time.  Jaidyn Elam Jaidyn Elam 5'9" | CG Detroit Country Day | 2024 State MI  leads the way to a regional championship.

REGIONAL 16 AT ORTONVILLE BRANDON

Marysville vs. Lake Fenton Prediction: Lake Fenton Why? The inside-outside combination of Lake Fenton is terrific. Veteran guard  Kerrigan Howdeshell Kerrigan Howdeshell PG Lake Fenton | 2022 State MI  and young forward star  Savannah “SJ” Fellenbaum Savannah “SJ” Fellenbaum 6'0" | SF Lake Fenton | 2024 State MI  are tough to stop.

REGIONAL 13 AT TECUMSEH

Portland vs. Chelsea Prediction: Portland Why? The veteran backcourt of  Ava Guilford Ava Guilford PG Portland | 2022 State MI  and  Ashley Bower Ashley Bower SG Portland | 2022 State MI  is an amazing combination. They are incredibly consistent and reliable.

REGIONAL 14 AT DETROIT EDISON

Romulus vs. Detroit Edison Prediction: Detroit Edison Why? We all know  Ruby Whitehorn Ruby Whitehorn 6'0" | PG Detroit Edison | 2022 State #20 Nation MI  is as good as they come. But how does anyone match up with her AND  Madisen Wardell Madisen Wardell 6'0" | PF Detroit Edison | 2022 State MI . Detroit Edison moves on.

REGIONAL 9 AT GAYLORD

Negaunee vs. Ludington Prediction: Why? It’s tough to match up with a talented young post player like  Keelyn Laird Keelyn Laird 6'3" | C Ludington | 2023 State MI . She can dominate the paint.

REGIONAL 10 AT FRANKENMUTH

Saginaw Swan Valley vs. Frankenmuth Prediction: Frankenmuth Why? They have playmakers and shooters like  Mia McLaughlin Mia McLaughlin 5'9" | SG Frankenmuth | 2024 State MI  and  Zoey Persails Zoey Persails 5'9" | CG Frankenmuth | 2022 State MI that can drive opponents crazy. Rachel Resio from Swan Valley will certainly leave her mark on this game though.
