With the upcoming live period in May approaching here is a list of prospects from the 2023 class that will be worth taking a strong look at if you have not already seen them.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="163892" first="Mariah" last="Sanabia"], Team Durant, Guard/Wing</strong>
I love the versatility Mariah brings to the table. She’s a shade under 6 feet and can play point guard, two guard and small forward. She has a great feel for the game on both ends and is starting to collect D1 offers. Her length and speed allow her to defend multiple positions and rebound effectively. She is strong in transition where she makes good decisions and is a strong finisher. She has range out to the 3 point line.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319217" first="Laila" last="Reynolds"], Boo Williams, Guard/Wing</strong>
Laila is a big time prospect out of New Hope. Her potential is unlimited and I would not be surprised to see her in the League one day. She is as smooth as they come on offense with a killer mid range game and the ability to get to the rim and finish at will. She is an excellent on ball defender and rebounder. At 5’10" she has the size and length to go along with a full arsenal of moves that she uses to score in bunches.
<strong>Paige Smith, Team Durant, Guard </strong>
<img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-421437" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/04/20220309_184828_HDR-1-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
Flashy guard with a nice handle that can make all the necessary passes. Excellent play maker but she thrives off the ball where she can make shots from way behind the 3 point line. She uses a variety of moves to create space and get into the lane and break down defenses. Very exciting player to watch.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="163859" first="Kristian" last="Harris"], Boo Williams, Guard</strong>
5’11" guard with excellent length and the ability to change speeds and get around defenders. Very smooth and efficient with a good feel for the game. Tight handles and finishes with both hands. Great form on her perimeter shot out to the three point line.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="167203" first="Amourie" last="Porter"], Team Maryland Shooting Stars, Guard</strong>
Amourie had a breakout high school season, gathering several awards, including Anne Arundel County player of the year. She is looking to build on that momentum this summer. The explosive combo guard can get buckets with the best of them and she is super competitive. She has developed into a three level scorer and is a solid leader. She will definitely raise her profile this summer.
