Basketball is a big deal in the Carolinas – and the competitive hoops played on the travel circuit is certainly no exception. Club ball will be the focus of the high school basketball fan for the next few months as venues such as Carolina Courts in Concord play host to events involving travel teams.
One of those many travel teams has established a name in North Carolina club ball circles – and not only because of its very distinguishable all purple uniforms.
Back in January, Lady Attack Elite announced it will field a grand total of nine teams this AAU season – spanning several classes. One of those teams is Lady Attack Elite 17U Richardson – a team that includes two stars from the rising 4A South Carolina power that is Catawba Ridge.
Lady Attack Elite 17U Richardson participated in the LBI March Madness event two weeks ago. Prep Girls Hoops was on hand for the games that took place on Saturday, March 19. The team finished 2-2 for the event. It is also slated to take to the court for the Phenom Lady Rumble tournament also emanating from Concord’s Carolina Courts.
Without further adieu, here is a look at the nine players that comprise the Lady Attack Elite 17U Richardson roster as travel play remains, for now, in its beginning stages.
Nadia VonReichbauer – 2024 – Grimsley HS – The 5-foot-10 forward displayed, once again, that she is a force to be reckoned with in the frontcourt. VonReichbauer averaged 11.2 points for the Whirlies in 2021-22.
[player_tooltip player_id="252856" first="Lindsey" last="Nolan"] – 2024 – Providence HS – Speaking of 5-foot-10 sophomore forwards, Nolan’s height advantage proves very useful as a scorer, rebounder and shot blocker. Nolan will also collect her fair share of steals.
Lizzie Cohen – 2023 – 1 of 1 Prep – Cohen sports the same No. 11 as she does with 1 of 1 Prep. She brings the same attributes to her team as well which includes long range shooting and all-around hustle.
[player_tooltip player_id="390859" first="Reese" last="Fritz"] – 2024 – Marvin Ridge HS – Fritz works a great deal to make sure her shot is as crisp as it can possibly be. The defensive plays she makes can lead to transition opportunities. Fritz played a major role in the Mavericks’ 22-6 record as well as going a perfect 10-0 in conference play en route to a conference championship.
[player_tooltip player_id="185027" first="Tatum" last="Postel"] – 2023 – Catawba Ridge HS – Postel was an important piece to the Copperheads’ winning puzzle in 2021-22. She averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals for a Catawba Ridge team that advanced to the 4A Upper State Finals.

[player_tooltip player_id="253886" first="Angel" last="Walker"] – 2024 – High Point Christian Academy – Walker will catch many a fan’s eye as someone who is more of a traditional guard who will put points on the board as well as play a role as a facilitator. She played in 29 games in 2021-22 for the Cougars who finished the season with a 20-10 record.

[player_tooltip player_id="299435" first="Hannah" last="Waddell"] – 2024 – East Rowan HS – As talented as Waddell is as a basketball player, her athletic attributes are not only limited to hoops. Waddell has participated in golf events for the Mustangs throughout her sporting career.

[player_tooltip player_id="253651" first="Morgan" last="Davis"] – 2024 – Catawba Ridge HS – Davis will be a name Palmetto State basketball fans hear more about as the Copperheads’ girls basketball program continues its ascent. She is one of three players on the Lady Attack Elite 17U Richardson roster who is just shy of six feet.
Jael Poole – 2023 – Chambers HS – Prior to wearing the orange of the Cougars, Poole sported the blue and red of North Mecklenburg. Scoring and quickness are two of the many elements to Poole’s game. Prior to arriving on the travel scene with Lady Attack Elite 17U Richardson, Poole was announced as part of the 15U team for Team Curry a couple of years ago.
