The first weekend of the fifth month of the 2026 calendar year was a busy one for the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. A grand total of four events took place around the country.

States hosting Prep Girls Hoops Circuit events this weekend include Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and Georgia. The Georgia gathering – the annual Peach Games – is featuring a larger field of teams and is taking place over three days at a number of venues in the western and northern Atlanta suburbs.

There were a number of talented 15U teams on hand – and a great deal of them had their efforts spearheaded from their backcourts.

Ramos is a seventh grader playing up in class against more experienced competition. She displayed that she is more than worthy of sharing a court with soon-to-be rising sophomores. Ramos gave her [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] 15U assembling consistency in its 40-17 victory over [program_tooltip program_id='715813' first='Team' last='Hickory Basketball Club'] 15U. This included the ability to make plays in the transition game and attracting plenty of attention from defenses. Delivering strong finishes at the rim is another noteworthy attribute of this multi-talented seventh grade prospect. As a name in the backcourt, she is more of a pure point guard. Ramos is just getting started.

A tandem of skilled shooting guards were also instrumental in what Georgia-based [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] UA Rise 15U was able to get accomplished against North Carolina-based [program_tooltip program_id='715813' first='Team' last='Hickory Basketball Club'] 15U early Saturday morning at Marietta HS. Payne was one of those two guards. As a shooting guard, one would expect her to be effective from behind the 3-point line but she can throw defenders off guard with her rim-attacking capabilities and her ability to draw contact to find her way to the free throw line. The ability to make tough shots is another of the many positive attributes that this two guard possesses.

Johnson was the second of those two shooting guards that played major roles in [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] 15U beginning its Saturday morning in Marietta on the right pair of sneakers. She gave her team a consistent threat from behind the 3-point line. [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] 15U connected on four of its attempts from distance in its contest against [program_tooltip program_id='715813' first='Team' last='Hickory Basketball Club'] 15U – three of those were courtesy of Johnson. She was in the starting five in Saturday morning's matchup and also managed to display efficient floor-running capabilities. Johnson also displays more height than the average two guard and that is complimented by her length.

Nichols has junior varsity experience with South Iredell but this 2029 displayed plenty of varsity-level talent when [program_tooltip program_id='715813' first='Team' last='Hickory Basketball Club'] 15U matched up against [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] 15U on Saturday morning at Marietta HS. She stands at 5-foot-6 and gives a noteworthy 3-point shooting dimension to a team's efforts. Even though her team mostly struggled against the Georgia-based bunch, a bright spot of her team's effort was Nichols connecting on two of her team's tries from behind the 3-point line. A midrange jumper is also part of Nichols' offensive repertoire and she understands the value of keeping one's hands outstretched as a defender.

Bridges is a familiar name to the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit as we remember the stellar performances she put forth at the Southeast Kickoff in Hickory. Even though her Peach Games Saturday got off to an inauspicious start with a defeat to [program_tooltip program_id='713406' first='Lady' last='Playmakers'] 15U, Bridges continued to display the effectiveness from both long range and midrange that makes her a name to watch. She primarily plays as a two guard but can also find time playing as a point guard. The 5-foot-6 freshman is a multi-sport athlete who plays soccer in addition to what she gets accomplished on the basketball court.

Handley was one of the more impressive guards that was on display throughout Saturday's action at Marietta HS. A standout freshman at Elizabethtown, she displays how effective she can be behind the 3-point line and remains a high degree of activity even when the ball is not in her hands. Handley understands that her playmaking capabilities will translate to attracting plenty of attention from defenses, meaning being an effective passer is every bit as important as being a scorer. She also displays leadership qualities more commonly found in veteran players. Handley will willingly go to her left with the ball in her hands and can wreak havoc on defense by collecting steals and causing deflections.

Even though Carolina Playmakers 15U had a rough go of things against Florida-based Lola Bunnie's Basketball Club 15U, Smith proved to be a bright spot for her team. When she has the ball in her hands, one not only has to game plan for how superb a ball handler she is but the speed and quickness she possesses with the ball. Smith will handle the ball with either her right or her left hand and brings plenty of consistency and reliability to a team. Defensively, she understands the importance of keeping one's arms and hands outstretched. Smith represents a 7A Heritage team that finished with a 24-4 record last season.

TVEA Adidas Gold had to wait until a bit later in the days to get its Peach Games Saturday under way, but it was worth the wait as evidenced by its victory over LSA Lady Lions Elite 15U. Myricks is a consistent scorer and playmaker with the ability to corral her own rebound in case of a miss. That offensive board will likely result in her converting on her second-chance point opportunity. Myricks knows how to outhustle her competition, brings a fearless attitude to every game she plays and maintains a high motor at all times on the floor.
LSA Lady Lions Elite 15U had a rough day at the Marietta HS office on Saturday but Lemon proved to be one of the bright spots for the Georgia-based AAU bunch.
Carten has spent time playing on the junior varsity team at Ola before ascending to varsity status. She certainly displayed plenty of varsity-level talent on Saturday at Marietta HS. As is more of a pure point guard, one can expect Carten to attack the rim whenever she has the ball. On many an occasion when she does, she can draw contact and take her chances at the free throw line. After a rough start to this weekend's Peach Games against Lola Bunnie's Basketball Club, Carten's play helped right the ship to close Team Passion 15U's Saturday with a victory over God's Timing Elite 15U.

Considering [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] has a 3-point shot as part of her overall offensive repertoire, one can place her in a team's lineup either as a two or at the point. She is a consistent playmaker who also understands the importance of drawing contact and finding her way to the free throw line. The 2025-26 season would see [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] compete in 27 matchups for 2A Drew Charter. Jenkins brings plenty of speed and quickness to her game and that comes in useful when looking to attack the basket and finish strong at the cup.
Wolle was another major factor behind [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] 15U E40 beginning its Peach Games weekend with a victory. A sizable number of the 50 points her team tallied against Team Elite Hubbard 15U 3SSB in a battle of Georgia squads were courtesy of Wolle. As a two guard, she is particularly a 3-point specialist but her skillset goes beyond what she can get accomplished from behind the arc. Her activity away from the ball and ability to make cuts to the rim will confuse many a defense. Wolle recently completed her freshman season with another 5A team in Sequoyah and competed in 17 games sporting Chiefs gold and black.

After spending time in the junior varsity ranks, Kendrix worked her way up to varsity status at 6A Carrollton and was part of a Trojans team that was one of the toughest outs in Georgia. Carrollton finished 25-4 and Kendrix played in all 29 games in her freshman campaign. Her rim-attacking capabilities combined with her ability to draw contact to get to the free throw line are two attributes that earned her plenty of playing time this past season with the Trojans. Kendrix can collect a large number of steals, is accurate from behind the 3-point line and can make plays in the transition game.

Warren is listed at 5-foot-10 so one would automatically assume that she is either a four or even a traditional five. While she has frontcourt height, she actually is listed as a guard, giving her a noticeable height advantage over many of her peers in the backcourt. Warren can set up offensively on the perimeter or possibly in the interior if needed. If she is in close proximity to the rim, Warren understands the importance of playing with her back to the basket. Warren does not shy away from physicality as she knows that can give her plenty of chances to help her team from the free throw line. She is coming off a 2025-26 season with Marist where her team defeated Kell to win the 4A state championship.

Listed at 5-foot-5, Sowell is a skilled combo guard who proudly wears the colors of PTC Select 15U – and Pike County. At the conclusion of Saturday's play, PTC Select 15U's record was 2-1 with the lone defeat coming courtesy of another tough out in One Step Away Select 2030. Her toughness shows itself with her ability to draw contact and find her way to the free throw line. Combo guards can be especially difficult to game plan for as opposing defenses have to detect if Sowell is playing as a point guard or at the two. Pike County has been rising up the ranks in recent years and one can guess that trend will continue with Sowell on its team.

The Chiefs of 5A McIntosh improved from seven wins in 2024-25 to 14 victories in 2025-26. One can expect McIntosh's winning ways to continue as long as she is sporting its colors and ascends to the varsity ranks. As a shooting guard, one has to watch for when she has the ball behind the 3-point line as she can knock down a large number of attempts from distance. Myers' play was another reason why PTC Select 15U exited Saturday's play having gone 2-1 for its Peach Games weekend. The junior varsity McIntosh assembling concluded its 2025-26 season with a 9-5 record.

Watson was consistently making plays all day for One Step Away Select 2030 and played a massive part in what was a successful Saturday at the Peach Games office. Following a loss on Friday, Watson helped her team responded with a pair of victories to run its weekend record to 2-1. When seeing how effective she is with the ball in her hands, one can see exactly why she is playing up in class as an eighth grader. She thrives as a combo guard in large part because of her fearlessness in going at defenders. An outside shot is also part of her offensive repertoire.

Truesdale is a name whose profile is steadily rising in North Carolina basketball circles. Her Elite 15U EYBL played both of its Saturday contests during the afternoon but the wait was worth it as Truesdale was a key factor in a pair of victories. Another eighth grade guard who is more than worthy of playing up in class against more experienced competition, her toughness displays itself with her willingness to fall to the floor if it means completing a play. Attacking the rim is another one of Truesdale's strong points as her effectiveness in finding driving lanes is on par with many senior and junior guards. She also understands the art of drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. Truesdale is a multi-sport athlete who also plays lacrosse.
