Tamya Hutchinson Tamya Hutchinson 5'4" | PG Hilton Head Christian | 2024 State SC – H2 Lowco – Hilton Head Christian (pictured on front)
Hutchinson is ALWAYS IN ATTACK MODE while on the floor. Tamya thrives on getting to the basket and scoring on contact it seems. She literally spends a lot of time on the floor if not scoring the ball, diving for loose balls or taking charges. Tamya scraps for everything she gets on the floor and finds ways to score the ball in bunches.
Trinity Mickell Trinity Mickell 6'0" | C Allendale-Fairfax | 2024 State SC – H2 Lowco – Allendale-Fairfax HS
Mickell is a physical presence down in the post. Trinity has a great set of shoulders to carve out space down low in the paint and play on contact. She does all of her work around the paint and just manufactures points on putbacks and 2nd effort chances. Look for Trinity to have a breakout spring and summer for this scrappy bunch from the Lowcountry. Mickell and her teammates won the Platinum II Bracket after winning 3 games on the final day of the LBI Opening.
Trinity Vance Trinity Vance 5'10" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC – Upward Stars 3SSB 2023 – Legacy Early College
Vance plays up in the 17U division with her Upward Stars 3SSB team. Trinity has a very high arching shot from the perimeter which she generally shoots at a high clip. She really looks to excel in the transition and open floor game. Trinity can get the ball to the cup and finish with either hand at the rim. Trinity will look to have a big spring and summer with her new team on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.
Kiara Croskey Kiara Croskey 5'6" | PG Sumter | 2024 State SC – Upward Stars 3SSB 2024 – Sumter HS
Kiara is running with the newly formed Upward Stars 3SSB organization on the ladies’ side this spring. Croskey does a good job of changing directions with the ball in her hands and finishing drives with both hands. Kiara can be a steady threat from the perimeter with her ability to knockdown open shots.
Marnie Baxter Marnie Baxter 5'4" | PG Walhalla | 2024 State SC – KST Academy 17U – Spartanburg Day
Ms. Baxter was a new name for us here at Prep Girls Hoops. Unfortunately, due to a schedule change in January Prep Girls Hoops didn’t see Spartanburg Day play this season. Marnie is a scrappy and very heady point guard. She would really look to use ball screens to progress the ball to the basket or find an open teammate. Marnie wasn’t overly flashy at all, but she didn’t turn the ball over with any careless passes either. Baxter is an old-fashioned pass first point guard.
Morgan Jones Morgan Jones 5'6" | SG Northwood Academy | 2024 State SC – TMP White – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Morgan was able to drop a few floaters on the way to the rim today. Jones does a good job of using ball screens to turn the corner and get by defenders. Morgan likes to slash to the basket when given the opportunity on the offensive end. Morgan at times needs to get more engaged on the floor but eventually she will straighten that out down the road.
Terriana Gray Terriana Gray 5'9" | SF A.C. Flora | 2024 State SC – SC Future Black 17U – AC Flora HS
Terriana plays up an age group for the SC Future organization. She really plays the game so smooth at times with her ability to stalk the baseline and attack the cup. Gray is extremely active in the passing lanes while manufacturing points on both ends of the floor.
