Despite battling the injury bug, the team stepped up and showed out at the WPA Bruins Tip Off in Pittsburgh, PA. They opened up the action on Friday afternoon with an extremely tight loss the BWSL 15u by a score of 48-47. Instead of hanging their heads after defeat, the squad stood strong that evening and defeated Central PA Dynamite by a convincing 6-39 margin. The team came out firing on Saturday morning, beating the Germantown Lady Panthers 15u GUAA 56-26. The Michigan Storm 2025 UAA team ended the weekend with a 48-26 victory over Team Pennsylvania. Let’s look at 4 players that stood out at the event for the Michigan Storm.
Eliza Bush (PG, Arbor Prep)
They know a little some about star point guards at Arbor Prep and they have a really good one in Eliza Bush. She’s has a nice looking feel on her jumper and takes pride in her passing.
Gabby Gerald (C, Lake Fenton)
Gerald is a special post talent in he class of 2025. She has the potential to be one of the best 5’s in the state by the time it’s all said and done. Gerald is strong and physical combined with a low key smoothness.
Mia McGregor (SG, Mio AuSable)
McGregor is a big time talent. She’s a hustle and energy player that bring life to the basketball court. That’s not all though, because she has the skill to match the effort. McGregor is a terrific 2 way talent that score, distribute and defend all at an extremely high level.
Kendyl Smith (PG, Lake Fenton)
Smith has star lead guard written all over her. She has an incredibly seasoned game for a young player. The pass first point has a true understanding of how to run an offense and set the table for her teammates.
