With so many players to go over, there’s so much content for us to be able to bring to you. Let’s continue our top five rankings with the top five point guards in the 2025 class.
No. 4: Paradise Fisher Paradise Fisher 5'6" | PG University | 2025 State NJ – 5-6, University
Fisher had herself quite a freshman season with University, handling the point as the Phoenix went on to win a state title. She’s a balanced guard with abilities to cut and stop on a dime and fantastic handles. She fills up the stat sheet well, not just from scoring. We know she’s a pure scorer with moves in the lane, but she excels most when it comes to swooping in for a rebound, finding a cutting teammate with an assist, or starting the break off a broken play and a turnover.
No. 7: Reese Downey Reese Downey 5'7" | PG Absegami | 2025 State NJ – 5-6, Absegami
One of the more underrated players on our list, which is interesting to say about a top-10 player, but Downey is as advertised and then some. Most don’t hear about her, playing on a team like Absegami in the Cape Atlantic League, and will overlook her, but you might not find a better overall shooter in the state than her. Talk about a smooth release from a player, Downey is efficient and a lock as a big-time three-point talent.
No. 8: Jasmin McKay Jasmin McKay 5'5" | CG Roselle Catholic | 2025 State NJ – Roselle Catholic
McKay is one of the top pure scorers in this class and can not only get it done in the lane and at the line, but is a phenomenal defensive player. Nearly three steals a game shows you just how good on the defensive side of the ball she’s already shown. Her offense is just as good if not better, fighting through contact to get a tough bucket in the lane or get to the foul line, where she’s an excellent foul shooter.
No. 9: Alyssa Stridiron Alyssa Stridiron 5'6" | CG St. Dominic | 2025 State NJ – St. Dominic
We were incredibly impressed by the poise, confidence and maturity that Stridiron showed on the floor this season. She’s a player who’s going to burn you the most inside the perimeter, though she showed flashes of a perimeter shot. Her passing and defense have both made considerable strides since the start of the season and hopefully, she’ll develop into more of a passer and a rebounder. We’ve seen just how effective Stridiron is as a scorer, but she has so much all-around potential it’s scary.
No. 20: Faith Williamson Faith Williamson 5'8" | PG Saddle River Day | 2025 State NJ – Saddle River Day
In one of New Jersey’s top programs, you’re seeing the blossoming of its next star in Williamson, already a player who can run the point for this team. The Colonial Rebels didn’t just witness someone who knows how to score and pass, but someone who’s a well-rounded piece, someone who can play defense effectively, and someone who can shoot the lights out at the gym. Williamson hit 71 three-pointers last season and when it comes to three-point shooting in the 2025 class, she’s fighting for the top spot on the list.
