This type of talent included players who were up for player of the year as a Freshman and consisted of players who will likely lead their teams in multiple categories as Sophomores. It’s the talent of these players that make other players play well, coaches coach well, and scouts scout well. Their talent allows the prognostication that each player will have successful basketball careers on the high school level and beyond. Each of these players possesses a great basketball skill set, and what sets them apart from others is that they are “built different.”
Abby Knauff Abby Knauff 5'9" | SG Bolles | 2025 State FL (ECU Family 2025, PGH #28). Knauff scored 19 points in the J-Sizzle – ECU matchup. Knauff hasn’t played much of the AAU season, but she was back at Wesley Chapel and played with a vengeance. Knauff has all of the intangibles as a great player: desire, determination, and commitment. Her basketball skillset is very good too: she can rebound with the best of them, she can run the court with the best of them, and she shoots the rock with the best of them, she can shoot on the outside and she can take it to the goal. Knauff knows how to score the ball. Defensively she’s a good on-ball defender.
Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL (ECU Family 2025, PGH #7). Civil was also part of the classic matchup and she didn’t disappoint. Civil had close to 15 points, but she can affect the game with her defense alone. That tough defense was on display. Civil can harass the point guard, defend the wing, and defend the post. She can guard 4 positions on defense. Offensively, Civil is best in the open court, but she is good from long range and is deadly in the paint. She is one of the fastest players to go from one end of the court to the other end. She is probably the most athletic player in the 2025 class.
Sariah Johnson Sariah Johnson 5'9" | SF Dr.Phillips | 2025 State FL (J Sizzle 2025, PGH #18) is one of the most gifted players in the 2025 class. She has great speed and her body control separates her from others. Offensively Johnson can play on the the inside and loves to get in the paint and operate. She has a variety of moves knows how to get her shot off knows how to shoot at various angles is just a super offensive basketball player. Against the ECU 2025 family team, Johnson knocked down 17 points. She’s equally as good on defense and plays with an edge to her game. Johnson is a good on-ball defender and plays the passing lanes well. She turns mistakes into layups.
Jayden Terry Jayden Terry 5'8" | CG GHS - Gainesville | 2025 State FL (ECU Family 2025/ PGH #11). Terry is one of the best young guards out there. She shoots the ball with the best of them. Terry has a very good touch from the outside and really has a great understanding of basketball. She has a high basketball IQ Terry is a bonafide sniper from behind the arc, and she can get to the rim as well. Terry handles the ball well but she is a terror at the shooting guard position.
McKenzie Neal McKenzie Neal 6'2" | C Okeechobee HS | 2025 NY (ECU Family 2025/ PGH #12) is also a standout on the East Coast 2025 Family team. Neal is a high IQ player who has great footwork and knows how to score and maneuver in the paint. At the Candace Dupree Invitational, Neal exploded in the paint with 14 points against J-SIzzle. Neal has a great work ethic and plays hard on both ends of the court. Neal knows how to score the ball. She also does a good job on the defensive end and does a good job of rebounding he ball.
Markeli Jones-Tynes Markeli Jones-Tynes 5'9" | PG Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL (GT Queens, PGH # 3) was also present in the building and she is good as the PGH ranking committee says she is. She is athletic as they come. She handles the ball very well and is always in control. She has great court vision and always makes the correct basketball play. She also had a nice midrange game. Her athleticism is off the chart and she plays with high confidence in her abilities on the court.
