We released an updated rankings for the class of 2025 this week. Today we look at the 2025 stock risers inside the top 20!
Lena Girardi Lena Girardi 5'10" | SF IMG Academy | 2025 State FL (Westminster Academy / Comets (PA)) – 5’10 Guard
New Ranking: 1
Previous Ranking: 2
Simply put Girardi is the truth! She takes over the #1 spot after a stellar high school season with Westminster Academy. A 5’10 Guard, she is one of the most skilled players in the class of 2025 and can score from all spots on the court. Girardi helped lead Westminster Academy to a 3A state championship averaging 20.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the floor during the 2021-22 HS season. Her height and build allow her to make plays that smaller guards simply cannot make, scoring over the top of defenders and seeing over the top of defenses. Her strong build allows her to take and initiate contact, and finish well in paint, getting to the free throw line and having opportunities to complete 3-point plays the old fashion way. She runs with the Comets out of Pennsylvania during the summer – we will try and catch her a couple times on the spring/summer travel schedule.
Jim’Myah Branton Jim’Myah Branton 5'7" | SG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL (SLAM! Miami / Miami Suns) – 5’7 Guard
New Ranking: 3
Previous Ranking: 6
I am not trying to date myself but back in the day, Dominique Wilkins was known as “The Human Highlight Film” and that is the way I feel every time I see Branton. She leaves me saying “Wow!” multiple times per game, showcasing her elite athleticism, incredible crafty finishing ability, and high motor. She flies all over the court on both ends, getting in passing lanes, pushing the ball in transition, and attacking off the dribble, flying into the paint with a fearless mentality.
Sofia Munoz Sofia Munoz 5'7" | CG Central Pointe Christian | 2025 State FL (Central Pointe Christian / CFE 16U) – 5’7 Guard
New Ranking: 9
Previous Ranking: 27
The first time we wrote about Munoz, she was described as a soccer player converting over to basketball. And as we referenced in the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational – Class of 2025 Stand Outs, Munoz is a quick study as in just 9 months, she goes from a newcomer into the Top 10. Munoz is raw but her high level of activity and energy really separate her and make her stand out on the court. She gets after it with a high-level intensity and passion on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. She is best in up-tempo, fast paced games, that involve full court pressure and consistent attacking in transition.
Asya Lara Barnes Asya Lara Barnes 6'0" | SF DME Academy | 2025 State FL (Bellcreek Academy/ Compound Basketball) – 6’0 Wing / Forward
New Ranking: 10
Previous Ranking: 13
Barnes moves up 3 spots to # 10, identifying her as one of the most skilled players in the 2025 class. She has exceptional length, a high-level IQ, and great court vision. She is consistently a high percentage 3-point shooter from multiple spots on the floor but does a good job passing up a good shot to give the ball up to her teammate for a better shot. She is flying under the radar a bit in the class of 2025 but her play continues to make her stock rise and catch the attention of evaluators, media, and ultimately college coaches.
Alessandra Bonilla Alessandra Bonilla 5'7" | SG Monsignor Edward Pace | 2025 State FL (Pace Academy / Miami Suns) – 5’9 Guard
New Ranking: 15
Previous Ranking: 17
Bonilla moves up to # 15 – she had an impressive Freshman season for Pace Academy, averaging 17.7 points per game, which was 8th amongst Freshman in the state of Florida. Bonilla combination of athleticism, skill, length, and confidence make her one of the most dangerous offensive players in the class of 2025. She is extremely confident in her ability and sees every time she touches the ball as a scoring opportunity. She is having a solid 2022 travel season for the Miami Suns Team Kiki 15U EYBL squad and has a chance to continue to move up the rankings.
Sariah Johnson Sariah Johnson 5'9" | SF Dr.Phillips | 2025 State FL (Dr. Phillips / J Sizzle 2025) – 5’9 Guard/Wing
New Ranking: 18
Previous Ranking: 38
Johnson makes one of the biggest jumps, moving up 20 spots and getting into the top 20 at # 18 overall in the class of 2025. She was one of the Top Scorers at the 2022 Sunshine State Showdown and was identified as one of the Top 15U Forwards Who Stood Out. Johnson has an exceptional all-around game, with great athleticism, exceptional handle, and creative and crafty finishing ability in the paint. She is versatile, having the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive end, and defend multiple positions. We look forward to following Johnson and seeing more of her on the court! She has been one of the high school and travel seasons new faces!
Kylee Kitts Kylee Kitts 6'0" | PF Faith Christian Academy | 2024 FL (DME Academy)
New Ranking: 19
Previous Ranking: 75
Kitts makes the biggest jump to get into the top 20, moving up 50+ spots, and comes in at # 19 overall in the class of 2025. It is as if we called our shot, as back in November, we wrote Kylee, the younger sister of Chloe, would have a chance to be one of the class of 2025 biggest stock risers, if she made the transition from forward to wing, and grew to a heigh of 6’0 or above, similar to Chloe. Most of this ranking is based on potential, as Kitts was a role player on the loaded DME Academy squad, averaging 5.9 points in 16 games. We have yet to see her play with the Southeast All Stars (GA) but have identified her as a prospect to see this spring/summer and will then catch her during the high school season with Faith Christian, as Kylee and Chloe are both transferring.
About Class of 2025 Rankings
This is the first update of the 2025 rankings in 2022. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games.
