With the River City Run tournament coming up here soon May 13th-15th in Louisville, Kentucky, it is a great time to take a look at players who could make a huge impact this weekend. In the ’23, ’24, and ’25 classes, there are a multitude of ranked players who will be looking to make their mark early on in this AAU season. This tournament could be the perfect time to do it. With that being said, here are the players to watch for from the Class of 2024.
1) [player_tooltip player_id="231486" first="Ella" last="Daniels"] | 5’9" CG | Christian Academy | Ranked #43
Daniels is a great two-way guard with all of the necessary offensive and defensive skills. She can shoot from beyond the arc, get into the lane with her speed, pick people’s pockets, and block shots. She also has good size to go along with her array of skills.
2) [player_tooltip player_id="250278" first="Allison" last="Spieker"] | 5’8" SF | Whitefield Academy | Ranked #24
Spieker, first and foremost, is a great shooter from the outside. She may not be the fastest player on the court, but her positioning and awareness is second to none. This allows her to be a major help for her team on the defensive end.
3) [player_tooltip player_id="251740" first="Paityn" last="Isom"] | 5’5" PG | North Hardin | Ranked #34
Isom might be one of the craftiest point guards in her class. She has a smooth jump shot to bring defenders out and a dangerous crossover to get around them when they do. She is also very strong for her size and can seemingly overpower almost anybody who ever guards her. She will be a great leader for her North Hardin team this year.
4) [player_tooltip player_id="304632" first="Paige" last="Medley"] | 5’5" PG | Meade County | Ranked #58
Medley was a very solid scorer for Meade County this past season. Offensively, she is great in both pull-up and catch-and-shoot situations. On the defensive end, she is a hard worker and adept at forcing opposing players into mistakes.
5) [player_tooltip player_id="304634" first="Makayla" last="Greer"] | 5’9" SG | Lincoln | Ranked #68

Greer is a textbook catch-and-shoot two guard. She makes it easy on herself by finding open shots on the perimeter through her constant movement. She is also of above average size for her position and makes great use of it on both ends of the court.
6) [player_tooltip player_id="258407" first="Bailey" last="Hensley"] | 5’10" SG | Madison Central | Ranked #67
Hensley averaged 17.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game last season, the latter being the highest average in the state for her class. Her mid-range game is some of the best I’ve seen and her finishing ability is ridiculously good. Her layup package makes even the most difficult finishes look easy and her size and anticipation allow her to tip passes and get steals at will.
