The effort she gives on a basketball court is contagious. At the tournament in Daytona, she showed her game showing the ability not only to shoot on the inside but also shoot on the outside. She is The consummate stretch 4 player who can score in the paint and can step behind the arc and knock down three-pointers. She had multiple threes in the championship game at the Dynasty Hoop tournament. There aren’t many on the 1st coast who have her skillset. The scary part is that she is only a Freshman in high school. Blocton has strong hands and also quick hands. She does an excellent job of positioning herself in the paint for easy shots. She also does an excellent job on offensive rebounds. She showed she could dribble the length of the court and finish and dish to the open player in transition.
Nia Blocton Nia Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL 2024 Forward/Center (MHD Elite) (pictured on right) was a force in the tournament and just had her way in the middle of the paint. Defensive she was too much to handle and swatted everything within her reach. Blocton is a relentless player on the offensive glass. Blocton drives the ball to the goal and drives with power. She has the ability to drive left and right. Blocton runs the floor like a guard and finishes with power. She gives major effort on both ends of the court for the entire game.
Autumn Nesmith Autumn Nesmith 5'6" | SG Orange Park | 2024 State FL , 2024 Shooting Guard (MHD Elite) played well in the tournament and knocked down several threes in the championship game. Nesmith has been strong in the early part of the AAU season. Nesmith is definitely becoming more confident shooting the ball. Earlier in the AAU season during March Madness, Nesmith scored 18 with several three-pointers made on championship Sunday. Nesmith has also looked more comfortable handling the ball. Nesmith is a very good shooter off of the catch and has shown she can create her own shot as well. I was really impressed at one move she made with a head fake and then a three-pointer off of the dribble.
Kae’Dynce Jones, 2024 Forward (ECU Josey 2024 ) 6’3″″ did some nice things at the Dynasty hoops. She does an excellent job of rebounding and defensively she is capable of breathtaking block shots in the paint. She has a really nice vertical and very good timing on blocking shots. Kaedynce does a good job of scoring in the painted area and can definitely finish at the rim. At 6’3″ Jones is going to be a force in middle and will be a leader next year for the young and talented Ribault basketball team. Kaedynce reminds you of a young Yakiya Milton Yakiya Milton 6'4" | PF Mandarin | 2024 FL in stature.
Paetyn Miller Paetyn Miller 5'6" | CG Ridgeview | 2023 State FL , 2023 Guard (MHD Elite) knocked down 3 three-pointers on the final day of the basketball tournament and did a good job of leading and communicating on the courts. Miller has shown that she can drive to the goal and has a very good 1st step to the basket. Miller has shown some physicality to her game during this year’s tournaments.
Gia Dodaro, 2024 Point Guard (ECU 2024 Josey) “Heart’ is the best description of Didaro. The point guard brings it to every contest along with energy and determination. Dodaro played well in the Dynasty Hoops tournament. She did a good job shooting the ball and running the point guard position. Dodaro can shoot the ball from behind the arc, but she is at her best when attacking the defense. Dodaro has good handles and does a good job of breaking the press and attacking the defense.
Maddie Rolander 2025 Guard (ECU 2024 Josey). Rolander performed well at Dynasty Hoops. She shot the ball well and showed that she can play through contact and score the ball. Rolander also shot the ball well from outside the arc and also in the midrange area. She also rebounded well. The Freshman played on JV at Creekside last season and looks to make an impact next basketball season.
