Ellie Brueggemann Ellie Brueggemann 5'11" | SG Lincoln Christian | 2023 State OK -5’11 SG/SF (Liberty HS) Team Griffin Elite 2023 Wernli
Brueggemann can score multiple ways, yeah I love to watch her shoot the long ball, I really enjoy her “catch and shoot” under pressure because she’s consistently knocking it down but she showed me the turnaround jumper 3 or 4 times in a game and I smiled and walked off
Trinity Benitez-5’9 SF (Lipan HS) NTX Platinum Bates
Benitez had me dazzled, yeah I had seen her just couldn’t put it together and she reminded me later when and where, Oklahoma is OK yet her midrange was more than okay, and so was her attacking off the dribble yet her rebounding against taller players, scoring on putbacks against taller players JUST DID IT
Elle Papahornis-6’0 SG (Edmond North HS) Team Trae Young 2023
Papahornis is definitely not a new face, especially since I’ve watched her score with a hand in her face countless times, I quit counting the first time I saw her so she falls into that profile college coaches love, big guards that can flat outshoot the ball and she recently committed to University Of San Francisco
Zhyan Mayes-5’6 CG (Muskogee HS) Playmaker Express 2023
Mayes sometimes appears to dribble out of a maze because she handles the ball under pressure and as I just played on words, sort of, she explodes off the dribble to score. She plays the passing lane, she does a good job defending “on the ball” even the pull-up jumper creates problems for the defender
Jada Thompson-5’8 PF (Klein Collins HS) STP Elite 2023
Thompson finished over and over, with power and literally with players hanging on her, that was nice for me as the day was winding down and her doing that wound me up yet she rebounded with authority, on both ends of the floor and did a good job defending both in and outside the paint
Journey Taylor-5’7 CG Lady Sharks
Taylor has made several Tip Sheets over the years, most bi-annual yet one thing has remained constant and that is her first step set everything up. She blows by the defender with ease and her acrobatic finishes are “Barum and Bailey” worthy but she also understands how to control the tempo, she sees the floor and passes are on the money plus she drops the mid to long-range
Addie McLemore-6’0 SF (Durant HS) CF Attack 2023
McLemore scored she could score multiple ways, lost my written notes after leaving notepad yet my mental notes are second to none as far as evaluating, pictures also help, but picture this, she can score off the dribble and in the set with the jumper but she also has a nice “stop and pop” in transition
Chania Price-6’0 SF/PF ( Byron Nelson HS) True Texas Hoops 2023 National [2024]
Several players in her class are going to be added to the Top 100 and Price is definitely one of them. Long and ULTRA athletic, she sold me on playing the passing lane and handling the ball coast to coast to finish after contact, and at her size, that’s huge so is the pull-up jumper but she also defends and rebounds on both ends
