There are prospect camps, team camps, grassroots events, and more that players can be found at. There are some athletes from Michigan that are playing very high quality basketball so far in June. Let’s look at some of the players that are heating up in June.
Rachel Balhorn Rachel Balhorn 5'8" | SG Livonia Churchill | 2025 State MI (2025, SG, Churchill)
Balhorn was recently with her high school squad at the Bowling Green Team Camp. She showed the ability to attack offensively in a variety of ways. She caught passes with strong hands and finished without having to use a prep dribble. Balhorn also showed the ability to put the ball on floor, create her own look, and fill it up off the dribble.
Charlotte Miller Charlotte Miller 5'8" | CG Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Scouts and coaches love this girls game and she’s solidified those opinions this far in June. She’s so valuable with her ability to play on or off the ball effectively. Miller is a high IQ player that’s really working to improve defensively as well. She led her team to a 3-1 mark at the Toledo Team Camp.
Sa’Ryah Roberts (2024, PG, Romulus)
Roberts looks like she could be having a statement summer here in June. She’s a true 2 way player that has the chance to be a top notch perimeter defender. Roberts has been getting the ball out in the open floor and showing off her athleticism in summer league play.
Mckenzie Swanson Mckenzie Swanson 6'3" | PF Bloomfield Hills Marian | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, Marian)
Swanson had been with Wisconsin Flight Elite so far in June and her summer had certainly heated up. Word is that she’s looking like an elite rebounder, not just in Michigan, but in the midwest. Swanson is showing great post footwork and is scoring at a very high percentage.
McKenzee Terpstra (2026, CG, Lawton)
The incoming freshman turned some heads at the West Michigan Shootout. In her first varsity basketball action, she caught the eye of many onlookers. Terpstra looked confident from behind the arc, burying 3-4 from deep.
