City Figlinski City Figlinski 5'9" Appleton West | 2023 WI
After joining Impact last April, it felt like Figlinski was 100% comfortable with this 2023 group in Des Moines. She shot the ball with confidence and understood the tendencies of her teammates. She cut well and got multiple layups because of the timing of the cuts she made. Her ability to read the game and understand how to exploit defenses make her a handy combo guard for any team she plays on in the future.
Olivia Peterson Olivia Peterson 5'6" | SG Appleton West | 2023 State WI
The other half of Appleton West’s backcourt was surprisingly good defensively against one of the best 2023 wings in the country. Against a top-30 5’11 wing, Peterson didn’t just force her to work. She forced misses. The 5-foot-6 guard plays with physicality and likes to take away airspace from her assignment, and watching her do that against one of the best players in the country while giving up four inches to her was incredible to see and changed how I view her on that end of the floor. I always knew she was good defensively but never knew she could do what she did on Sunday.
Megan Schuman Megan Schuman 6'0" | SF Brillion | 2023 State WI
The Purple Aces wing is a legit 6-footer with all of the versatility in the world. She could play from the three to five at this level and excel. The combination of size, length, and athleticism creates a unique skillset physically that could entice plenty of schools, especially after showing off her jumper and ability to defend this weekend.
Every time I see Peed play, I feel energized watching her play. She plays as hard as anyone and understands the value of her defense and rebounding to her Team Wisconsin group. She has room to improve, and I believe she’ll draw the attention of small school coaches over the next 12 months.
Abby Tuttle Abby Tuttle 5'8" | SG North Polk | 2025 State IA
Some players seem to have a counter to everything a team can throw at them, and Tuttle is one of those athletes. She isn’t the best athlete, but she has an arsenal of moves to create space, passes at a high level, shoots, and finishes around the rim. Without high-end athleticism, she uses her body to keep kids in front of her defensively, and after first seeing her at Summer Jam, I’ve enjoyed watching her whenever I get the chance.
