On games one and two she made a big impact on the defensive end. She racked up a total of 6 rebounds, along with 6 steals, and 7 blocks. Wilkes shined against TX Platinum with 7 points, 4 steals, and 7 rebounds. She left it all on the floor for OV Dragons Red, whether it was diving for loose balls, hustling back on defense, or playing physical in the post even when she was under sized.

[player_tooltip player_id='259399' first='Katie' last='Marcum']-OV Dragons 2024 Red

[player_tooltip player_id='259399' first='Katie' last='Marcum'] had a great showing over the weekend in Cincinnati. Each game she played for OV Dragons Red she brought her best. Marcum averaged nearly a double double throughout the tournament putting up 15-20 points with 8-10 rebounds each game. She also made some hustle plays for her team hitting the glass for offensive rebounds and scoring inside where she often got fouled and made the most of it at the free throw line.

Madeline Hall-OV Dragons 2023 Red

OV Dragons went up against some tough teams at the Finale. Including The Wisconsin Lakers Black, and the Lady Gym Rats Kam. Madeline Hall did her part and she contributed to her teams success every game. Hall averaged 18 points per game, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, and 4 steals. Hall is an ultimate competitor and she never backed down from the competition.

Maggie Simons-[program_tooltip program_id='715308' first='WV' last='Thunder'] 2027

Maggie Simons is destined to be a big time prospect she eats, sleeps, and breathes basketball. Simons has tremendous potential and a great feel for the game at such a young age. At the Select Events Simons showcased her talent in a variety of ways. She played excellent defense all tournament long which resulted in steals and a lot of points scored in transition. Simons thrives off teamwork she enjoys getting her teammates involved on the 4th game she dished out a game high 6 assist.

[player_tooltip player_id='316114' first='Laken' last='Williams']-[program_tooltip program_id='713248' first='OV' last='Lady Dragons'] 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='316114' first='Laken' last='Williams'] played extremely well at the Select Events her team finished 3-1 at the Finale. Williams made an impact on both ends of the floor every game she played for [program_tooltip program_id='713248' first='OV' last='Lady Dragons']. She dangerous unstoppable on the fast breaks running the floor well creating an outlet for the pass. Williams had several layups in transition that even with contact she was able to finish. Williams already has looks from college coaches I see great potential in her she will be a D1 caliber prospect before you know it.

Kelsee Simpson-KY Storm Elite 2023 Roller

The KY Storm Elite Roller started the Select Events Finale 3-0. Kelsee Simpson got her team going early game one against [program_tooltip program_id='715892' first='Ohio' last='Premier'] she put up a team high 16 points leading KY Storm Elite to a 68-57 victory. Following that game she had a stellar performance against [program_tooltip program_id='714862' first='Team' last='Ohio'] Coffee she dropped 14 points and hit the game winning three pointer to cap off a thriller in overtime.

[player_tooltip player_id='298734' first='Grace' last='Brewer']-KY Storm Elite 2023 Roller

KY Storm Elite Roller finished the Select Events Finale with a 4-1 record. Brewer showed how much of an elite scoring she is she lit it up against [program_tooltip program_id='716239' first='Lady' last='Vision'] with 14 points. Holcomb did whatever it took for her team to win whether it was getting a bucket, passing for an assist, or playing defense in the post against much taller players she got the job done. Holcomb has really improved her game since I last covered her at the Run 4 Roses Classic.

[player_tooltip player_id='502127' first='Katie' last='Mastin']-Cincy Jr Tar Heels

The Cincy Jr Tar Heels have won multiple tournaments this summer. They had a red hot 4-0 start at the Select Events Finale.
