SubscribeI had a big idea to finish articles while in Las Vegas to watch my daughter’s team play in the WNBA finals. Back in the day, everything used to be fast “on the strip” yet that was before wi-fi and I get irritated easily.
Before I head downstairs to win, I think I can give you a glimpse of what’s coming in the 2027 class, if I ain’t seen ya, there’s nothing I can do. I’ve already dropped 8, Fab 5 From Just Play, as well as Out Of State Standouts, and here’s another 8
Natalie Barrett Natalie Barrett 5'7" | CG Rockwall | 2027 TX
Barrett left a lasting impression, her first step and body control are ahead of her years, and so is her finishing after contact. She handles the ball under pressure and did a good job “seeing the floor” but she’s strong, she has UPS and she stays with the ball off the rim
Rileigh Good
Good as in “it’s all” yet she’s better than GOOD right now. She creates her shot very well under pressure and elevates on her jumper but her release is fluid and consistent. I loved the slight HEZ, yall call it the HEZZIE, it’s the hesitation and it works to get the defender off balance. The “step back is also effective”
Kayli Kellogg
Kellogg will probably be remixing “they’re great” to “she’s great” before it’s all said and done. I saw her a few years ago, maybe in the 4th grade, and knew what was coming. off the dribble, mid to long range, it’s already there, and so is her “poise under pressure” and defying gravity with acrobatic finishes but her court vision, oh my
Jaylin Arevado
Arevado definitely has a lot going on and starting with her jumper, either in the set, which she creates with ease, or attacking with either hand, she can put the ball into the basket. I also enjoyed her “stop and pop” jumper in transition yet her handles and making tough passes look easy, blistering on the money in traffic, has her on the right track
Saania Khawaja
Khawaja is just one of the smoothest scorers in her class in Texas. She can get hers “in the flow” off the dribble or mid to long-range but don’t get it twisted as she is capable of taking games completely over and scoring in droves. She makes good decisions and plays within herself
Gianna Valesquez
Valesquez did so many things to get my adrenaline going yet “the spin” may have had the biggest effect. She already understands how to set the defender up and her doing it effortlessly had me smiling, well so did her dropping it from DEEP. She also created her shot to drop the midrange or attack the basket, she saw the floor and played solid defense
Ma’Riyah Alfred
Alfred has already been tagged #D1Lock and she has NATIONAL potential right now. She scores so many ways, even I lose track yet her change of pace and crossover in the open court are going to create huge problems for defenders from here on. Add her mid to long-range as well as her being “long and athletic” plus she plays the passing lane
Kaylynn Quinney
Quinney has the pull-up in traffic down and she scores well off the dribble, solid body control gets her to the line numerous times and she finishes strongly after contact. Her creating her shot under pressure helped with previously mentioned but her quick hands on the defensive end got her some steals
