Samantha Shehan Samantha Shehan 6’0″ | CG Lake Norman | 2025 State NC was showing off her defense with her shot blocking and ability to grab steals. She set herself up nicely around the basket grabbing rebounds and putting them back up for some points off of offensive rebounds. She has some range with her shot shooting from beyond the perimeter. She came out hot in the second half knocking down four three pointers in a row. She finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

Khaurie Little
Khaurie Little handles the ball well constantly pushing it up the court finding her open teammates. She can take it all the way herself even having to go through contact and score some points from the free throw line. She was threading the needle making nice passes up to her teammates.
Ginny Overbay
Ginny Overbay
Ginny Overbay was dominant in the paint. She was crashing the boards grabbing rebounds for her team. She was very dynamic on offense driving the ball hard to the basket, showing off post moves on the block, and being ready for a pass and bucket in transition.
Madison Pounds Madison Pounds 5’10” | PG NC GBB | 2024 State NC was scoring on all levels. She does a nice job pushing the ball up the court finding her open teammates filling in the lanes. She was handling the ball under pressure constantly moving to shift the defense. She did well setting herself up for open shots, too, when she didn’t handle the ball. She got inside grabbing rebounds for her team. She was a sharp shooter from deep.
Highlights
Lili Booker Lili Booker 5’7″ | CG Mallard Creek | 2024 State NC was a tough defender as usual. She was grabbing steals and pushing the ball up the court, and even when she didn’t get the steal herself she was up the court ready for the pass and bucket. On the offensive side of the ball, she finds her open teammates easily as they are moving to the open spaces.
Mary Church Mary Church 5’7″ | SG East Rowan | 2025 State NC was all over the court going after loose balls knocking it out of her opponents’ hands. She doesn’t hesitate at all to dive on the floor for some loose balls. She did well handling the pressure of guarding the opposing team’s best player. She was crashing the boards as well. She can drive hard to the basket knowing how to get around her defenders.
Highlights
Ka’Nyah O’Neal Ka’Nyah O’Neal 5’8″ | SF Southside | 2023 State NC was all over the court on offense crashing the boards, going hard in the paint, and pulling up for jump shots. She went coast to coast with her rebounds scoring in transition or kicking it out to get an offense going. She had a nice floater in the paint scoring over her opponents. She uses a good looking in and out move to get by her opponents around the perimeter, and she finds herself at the basket easily.
Lacie Grovner
Lacie Grovner
Lacie Grovner pushed the ball up the court showing off some nice handles to get her defender off of her. She was knocking down shots from deep, especially late in the game making sure her team had a chance for the win. Her defense on the press was great causing problems for her opponents. She hustled up and down the court being ready for a pass in transition.
