The Michigan version of the event will feature some exciting players for coaches at all levels to see. It will be the perfect opportunity to see the outstanding talent coming through this state. Let’s preview the PGH Michigan Top 250 by looking at some of the players that are registered for the event.
Crombie is a player that I preach about often. I just really like what she brings to the table as a player and a prospect. She can score from all over the floor and create mismatches for her opponent. Crombie has really developed this year as an all around scorer.
Peterson is a really exciting prospect that I’ve been very high on for some time now. She’s an excellent rebounder that has a nose for the ball and rebounds it high. Peterson is a great all around athlete that can slash to the rim and finish.
Standfest is riding the momentum of a terrific grassroots summer. She proved that she could be a state sheet stuffer and put up multiple double-doubles in points and rebounds. Standfest should be considered must see at the Top 250.
Ward can really put pressure on the opposing defense. She can go either way with a pretty nasty crossover and finish on both sides of the rim. Ward is strong enough that can use a physical drive and bounce off contact.
Bynum really came on strong this spring and summer. She’s terrific with the ball, having the ability to handle and push the pace off the bounce. Bynum is a downhill lead guard that forces the defense to react and rotate.
