Roehm has been playing some really good basketball, as recently as a standout performance at the David Barns Showcase. Offensively, she showed the ability to score from a variety of spots on the floor including a solid baseline take in which she drew a foul and a pretty free throw line jumper. Roehm also stood out defensively and showed an ability to challenge shooters and even blocked a shot early.

While showcases are always full of offensive highlights, somebody has to get them the ball to make those plays possible. Enter Malaya Brown Malaya Brown 5’7″ | SF Grand Blanc | 2025 State MI . She sent out crisp and accurate passes every time I saw her play on Saturday. She had a beautiful transition feed to her teammate that led directly to a bucket.
Zar’ria Mitchell Zar’ria Mitchell 5’7″ | PG Heritage | 2023 State MI created a buzz last year at the Top 250 with her step back jumper. Well, in Mitchell form, Whims had one of the best step back jumpers that I saw on Saturday. She sold it hard, the defender bit, and she finished the move with a make. Whims is a steadily improving player.
Wright has a terrific future in store as a highly active lead guard. She has solid handles and can quickly pick up speed with the ball in her hands. Wright brought a ton of energy to the floor for her team at the Top 250. She was always willing to sprint down a loose ball or hit the floor to gain a possession.

Merritt had a performance that will make sure that we pay attention to what she does come high school season. I really liked her ability to bury a jumper off a catch and shoot situation. She got herself in good position, waited for the pass shot ready, and converted with a bucket.
Highlights
She’s listed as a guard but her game is much more than just perimeter based. She was a constant factor in the paint when I saw her play. Davis was extremely disruptive in the lane defensively playing good help defense, challenging shots, and grabbing boards.
Highlights
Thelen was a menace attacking the lane when I saw her at the Top 250. She had an impressive floater finish just inside the free throw line and even drew a foul on it. Later in that same game Thelen snuck under the glass with the ball and put in a Mikan like finish.
Highlights
Ringwelski made a statement loud and clear over the weekend. She’s just a freshman, but she showed a very mature game with some understanding of some very intricate parts of the game. The play of her day that I saw was when Ringwelski caught an inbound pass, sealed her defender with her hip, and turned it into an easy 2.
