The game has and always will start at the 1, no need to debate, I'm not a novice, and since my daughter, who won a National Championship at Texas A&M and has played in the WNBA for many years, is a point guard, I kind of know a little something first hand, she has several highlights, many from ESPN Plays of The Week on both my website as well as BLOG, again folks, #ThereIsNoMe I can do this with my eyes closed. Here are some other PGs that stood out, you can find more on the All-Tournament squads, FIRST and SECOND team

[player_tooltip player_id='486434' first='Kazli' last='Timbes']-5'2 (Hillsboro) Lady Pride

Timbes had to stop early because she injured her hand, yet what she did before her injury showed me not only what I was looking at but also what was coming in the future. She's heady, handles the ball under pressure, and does a good job seeing the floor yet off the dribble as well as the jumper, mid to long-range, she was hard to handle. Playing solid defense is always a plus, she has quick hands and came away with steals galore

[player_tooltip player_id='486464' first='Kaydence' last='Daniels']- 5'2 (Boswell) Locked In Elite

Daniels has the #sizedontmatter figured out, because she can play, and watching her control the tempo by either pushing the ball in transition or slowing it down in the set, she understands that. She also showed good court vision, especially in the open court but with solid ballhandling, she was able to keep the defender guessing as she attacked the basket and showed the pull-up jumper

[player_tooltip player_id='486442' first='Zaviyana' last='Madison']-5'7 (Shepton) [program_tooltip program_id='715690' first='DC' last='Queens'] Denton

Madison grabbed my attention almost immediately by doing something I love to see, playing the passing lane, and since she could handle the ball under pressure, her attacking the basket after the steal to either score or dish was very nice. She also did a good job taking the defender off the dribble in the set, her body control was really good, and so was her finishing strongly after contact. Yes, she saw the floor and YES, she dropped it from DEEP

[player_tooltip player_id='486411' first='Kurynn' last='Mcneill']- 5'6 (George Ranch) [program_tooltip program_id='715462' first='Showcase' last='Elite']

McNeill has so many stars by her name I could probably make a flag and it would be waving as she showed she could rebound against taller players and handle the ball coast to coast for baskets. She also showed good court vision and used her athleticism well on defense. She created her shot under pressure to attack, had very nice body control, and finish after contact and her pull-up was impressive as well

[player_tooltip player_id='486423' first='Alissa' last='Bryant']--5'6 (Klein) [program_tooltip program_id='712584' first='Just' last='Play Elite']

Bryant did a good job playing the passing lane, that's very important which is why I get excited to see players doing it but she also showed some exciting ballhandling and passing. The pressure was irrelevant, she understands the game and made good decisions but she also showed she could "create her shot" and use a deceptive first step to take the defender off the dribble. Another plus was she could drop it from outside yet her ability to "catch and shoot" JUST DID IT for me
