Hannah Strauss Hannah Strauss 5'8" | PG Perry | 2025 State AZ – is a 5-8 sophomore point guard who plays for Perry High School in Gilbert. Last year Perry was Section 6A state runner-up and Hannah was selected to the Honorable Mention All-District team. She also plays for her club team, Valley Basketball Club, and played in tournaments in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Des Moines. One scout commented on her game: “Hannah has a high basketball IQ,, has a great feel for the game, and always makes the right play. She also has the ability to get into the paint and find open teammates for wide-open lay-ups. She can shoot from three, handle pressure, and defend at a very high level.” Another scout commented: “She’s an aggressive player on both offense and defense as well as being a tireless defender, Her defense results in many steals and deflections. She plays a lot older than her age.” In 32 games as a freshman, Hannah averaged 5.1 points per game along with 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals. On two different occasions, she was selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps.
EVALUATION: Hannah has an outstanding work ethic and is an aggressive player on both offense and defense. Her shooting and ball-handling skills have improved dramatically. She finds her open teammates, drives to the rack very well, and her quick hands result in many steals and deflections. She should have a coming-out party as a sophomore in 2022-2023.
MIA DIPUCCIO – is a six-foot shooting forward/power forward sophomore at Seton Catholic High School in Chandler. Her team finished last season with an overall 21-7 record and 7-1 in conference play. In 28 games, Mia averaged 6.6 points per game and 4.9 rebounds in her first year with the varsity. Playing under Head Coach Karen Self, Seton Catholic lost to Salpointe Catholic in the State Championship game, 42-29. One scout said that “Mia is a 6-0 wing player that gives her team versatility and length at multiple spots. Her game is evolving and she has worked on both her footwork and mid-range shots. Her balance and fluidity allow her length making her pull-up almost unguardable.” Another scout had this to say after seeing her play in the ‘Love of the Game’ tournament in Las Vegas last spring. “She is a tall, post player who rebounds with the best of them. She also has a nice shooting stroke from the outside. Mia runs the floor well but can also pull up from the perimeter and make a jump shot. We love this type of diversity because it makes you hard to guard as a player.” She also has a weighted GPA of 3.80.
EVALUATION: Mia has a tall, lengthy body and her overall game is improving season after season. Her strength is both offensive and defensive rebounding. She is a versatile player who runs the floor well and has good ball-handling skills. Mia is also a tireless defender who is only going to get better. Mia and her teammates should have a tremendous year in 2022-2023.
Olivia Frankel Olivia Frankel 5'10" | SG Notre Dame Prep | 2025 State AZ – is a 5-10 sophomore forward who plays for Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale. She can play both point and shooting guard and averaged 4.6 points per game as a freshman. Last winter the Lady Saints finished with an overall 16-9 record, 7-3 in their division. Olivia’s highest-scoring game was 14 points in a win over Peoria last February. Olivia was named to the Honorable Mention team in the 4A West Valley Region while playing for Head Coach Dell Mims. She also has a weighted GPA of 3.33. One scout commented on her game. “She is a lengthy player and a name you want to keep your eye on. She can shoot from the perimeter, pull up for a mid-range jumper and finish at the rim. Defensively, she is gritty and the first player to dive on the floor for a loose ball. She also utilizes her wingspan to create deflections and steals. Look for her to improve and solidify herself as one of the best prospects in the class in the class of 2025.”
EVALUATION: Olivia continues to improve as a player both offensively and defensively. She is a relentless defender on defense, has a strong perimeter game and can nail the mid-range jump shot. Olivia and the Lady Saints should have an outstanding season in 2022-2023.
PIPPA KRIEGER – is a 6-0 sophomore forward for Perry High school in Gilbert. She also plays for her club team, Arizona Select. Perry lost to State Champion Valley Vista in last year’s AIA tournament, 68-46. As a freshman, Pippa averaged just 0.9 points per game and 1.4 rebounds per contest. She plays for Head Coach Andrew Curtis. One scout had this to say about her game: “In the last year, she has made tremendous progress in her game, both offensively and defensively. She’s becoming more assertive offensively and using her elite length to score. She’s a kid that can shoot over a lot of defenders.” Pippa plays a strong team defense and will continue to improve as her confidence begins to grow.
EVALUATION: – she has made great strides in the last year but needs to work on both her shooting technique and moving without the ball. She is still growing with three years left of varsity competition. Pippa has become more aggressive on both offense and defense and both her comfort level and confidence level have grown proportionately.
RAIGAN GREGSTON – is a 6-0 sophomore forward for Seton Catholic in Gilbert. One scout commented on her after a workout: “She stood out, especially given the fact that she’s just finishing her freshman year. She’s a long, perimeter player that is becoming more confident. Raigan is very good at finding space off of the dribble as well as knocking down the shots that were there.” Her club team is the Arizona Pride and she plays for Head Coach Karen Self at Seton Catholic who was just selected to enter the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. Raigan was Honorable Mention All-Region and her team was 4A Desert Sky Regional Champions in 2022. As a freshman she averaged 4.4 points and 4.0 rebounds while Seton Catholic had an overall record of 21-7. They lost to Salpointe Catholic, 42-29 in the AIA State Tournament. Another scout commented on Raigan after seeing her play in a spring tournament in Las Vegas. “She is a tall player with nice size and rebounds with the best of them. She also has a nice stroke from the outside that allows her to take advantage of smaller defenders. She was a bull in the paint, getting both offensive and defensive rebounds. She ran the floor well, showed she could finish, and was a tough defender for her team.”
EVALUATION: She is a strong rebounder and shot blocker which makes scoring difficult for her opponents. Her skills continue to improve as does her confidence. She has a lengthy body with a large wingspan that can be intimidating at both ends of the court. Raigan should have a breakout year in 2022-2023 with the Lady Saints.
Rylie Sword Rylie Sword 5'6" | SG Basha | 2025 State AZ – is a 5-5 sophomore shooting guard for Basha High School in Chandler. She also plays with Arizona Elite, her club team, and played on the 15U team in last spring’s Southwest Showcase event. After her freshman year she was named to the Honorable Mention team in the 6A Premier Region. Rylie averaged 5.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists. One scout talked about her game: “She is a sharpshooting guard/forward that has a quick release from beyond the arc which can really stretch the defense. She moves well without the ball and knows appropriate spacing. She can also hit the pull-up mid-range jumper and is a solid ball handler.” In one game last season she had five steals vs. Liberty High School. With Arizona Elite, Rylie played in summer tournaments in Indianapolis, Chicago and Des Moines. For her play in the summer events, one coach said ” she is very coachable and brought good energy to the floor. She also showed a nice touch on her floater when she got into the lane.” Basha should improve on their overall 7-19 record in 2023.
EVALUATION: as a freshman, Rylie’s three-point shooting improved dramatically. She has become a seasoned ball-handler that runs the fast break very well. A solid player on defense, her quick hands can cause many steals and deflections. She had five steals in a game last year and she is only going to get better.
SOPHIE MORALES – is a 5-4 point guard for Seton Catholic High School in Chandler. She plays for Head Coach Karen Self and has a GPA of 4.00. Her club team is Southwest Premier 16U red. Her club team went undefeated in May, going 5-0 at the Summer Championships and then went 4-0 in a Nike Tournament. One scout commented on Sophie’s game: “As a freshman, she controls the game like a point guard should. Great things are about to happen for this 2025 grad. She plays the point like an upperclassman. Her wiggle, vision, pace and creativity were all on display. Working on single-stop movements, her shift made every pause a tough moment for defenders as she can end up almost anywhere when you lean. She’s got the Big West and West Coast Conference schools tracking her down for good reason.” In 22 games as a freshman, Sophie averaged 7.0 points a game along with 3.8 assists and 3.0 steals. Seton Catholic lost to Salpointe Catholic in the State Tournament 42-29 although they finished with an overall record of 21-7. Sophie shot 56% on her two-point field goals. Another scout talked about her game: “She is a solid point guard with outstanding ball-handling skills. She is also an old-school, pass-first player who is refreshing to see. She gets everyone involved. Sophie can also go to the rack and score and has a nice outside jumper to complement her game. She has great anticipation skills and once she gets the rock, it’s off to the races.”
EVALUATION: even as a freshman, Sophie showed strong leadership skills, both on and off the court. Now, only a sophomore, she is a seasoned point guard who controls the offense and makes sure that all of her teammates are involved. She can also drive the lane and hit the perimeter jump shot. Sophie and her Seton Catholic teammates should go deep in the state tournament in 2023.
