Despite this trend, several teams are converging at The Cage in Swartz Creek every Sunday in October. I got a chance to watch Goodrich play a couple of games and came away impressed. These girls play well together and really seem to be in synch on defense. They came into the day undefeated and battled with a very good Clarkston team.
This kid can shoot. Riley hit four 3 pointers in the first four minutes of the game. She made several pinpoint outlet passes for layups and plays heads up ball. She runs hard in transition and does her job defensively.
Kalen is a kid that quickly grew on me. She is an athletic big that has a very high motor. She runs in transition, rebounds in and out of space, keeps balls alive, and rolls hard off of solid screens. She got a couple of pick six steals on the perimeter. She could be a handful for a lot of teams.

Goodrich has a quick little guard that is fearless to the rack. She struggled to hit shots early, but they looked good off the hand. The outside and midrange shots started to fall as the game progressed.

Tanner is another big that Goodrich is lucky to have. She is very active and physical, and she tends to outwork other players for the ball. She makes some nice plays off the bounce, whether it is a kickout or a sweeping hook shot. Just like Kalen, Tanner was able to take a couple of perimeter steals to the house.
