After speaking with a source from the 11th region girls hoops twitter page they stated this: “The 11th region is one of the toughest regions in the state. The talent in Lexington and the surrounding areas in Central Kentucky is competitive at the highest level. You have multiple Division-I caliber players, powerhouse programs, high level developing coaches, and an extremely competitive atmosphere. The tradition of the 11th region is historically winning. We hope to bring a state title home to the 11th region in 2023”.
Franklin County was crowned 11th region champs for the 6th time in 10 years after their dominate region play going 15-0. Jhaven Meade Jhaven Meade 6'4" | C Franklin County | 2023 State KY averaged 5 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks per game. She received an offer from HBCU South Carolina State back in August. Meade is a force down low, she uses her tremendous size and strength to her advantage gaining position in the low post. She has good hands for the entry pass and a soft touch at the rim. Expect her point and rebound numbers to double as she enters a big senior season for the Lady Flyers.

Niah Rhodes Niah Rhodes 5'7" | CG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY is one of the most prolific scorers in the state. No guard in Kentucky can create their own shot and score at such a high level like she can. As a freshman last season Rhodes lead the Lady Broncos in scoring averaging 16 points per game. Not to mention she was 6th in the state in made 3 point field goals shooting 39.3 from three point land. She received her first DI offer from UNC Asheville in early September. Look for her to once again take on most of the scoring load for Frederick Douglas this season. Do not be surprised if Niah Rhodes Niah Rhodes 5'7" | CG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY leads the 11th region in scoring this year.

Fresh off of her first official college visit at Asbury University. Alli Stone Alli Stone 5'9" | SG Henry Clay | 2024 State KY is primed and ready to make an immediate impact this season for Henry Clay. She is a dead eye shooter with limitless range from deep. Stone shot 32.3 percent from three making at least two three pointers each game. With all the hours she has put in over the summer expect her three point percentage to improve to 37.6 percent this season. Coach Garrard has a young team but they are hungry and they play with that blue devil mentality. Stone will be a key contribution to the Blue Devil’s having a deep run in the 11th region tournament this season.

As a sophomore Bailey Hensley Bailey Hensley 5'10" | SG Madison Central | 2024 State KY became the leader for young but very talented Madison Central team. She averaged a double-double for the season scoring 17 points per game along with 10 rebounds. Hensley has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop she is most effective scoring inside or shooting mid range jumpers. She shot an impressive 50 percent from the field last season, that is what you call efficient. Hensley stays in attack mode, on offense she drives to the basket hard looking to draw contact and get to the free throw line. Last season she made 73 out of 106 free throws attempted. With her top-notch scoring ability and the way she crashes the boards Hensley will continue to be a top player in the 11th region this season.
Frankfort High School has one of the top players in Kentucky on their roster. As a junior Jamya Chenault Jamya Chenault 5'8" | PG Frankfort | 2023 State KY averaged 23.8 points per game which was top 10 in the state last season. Chenault can really score the basketball she’s a punisher in the low post that can score at will once she establishes position. The level of physicality she plays with makes her a tough task for any defender. She is also a relentless rebounder with her efforts on the glass helping her average 12 rebounds a game last season. She is a walking double-double. The Lady Panthers fell short of the 11th region tournament last year but look for Chenault to carry them to a tournament birth this season.
The Lafayette Generals were runner-ups in the 11th region tournament last season. They could possibly make it back to the championship game with their super sophomore Savannah Jarvis Savannah Jarvis 6'0" | SG Lafayette | 2025 State KY . She is a “Big Guard” with elite skills and high level abilities. She put up 9 points along with 6.2 rebounds as a freshman last season. Simpson has made major improvements to her game over the summer, I expect her numbers to go up in both categories this season. She is a versatile player that can handle the ball well, shoot it from the perimeter and get buckets in the post. But it’s her rebounding that separates her from the rest in her class. Simpson has a real quick second jump that propels her to the rim with her height and her length gives her a real advantage on the boards. This will indeed be a breakout year for Simpson. She will be ranked by the end of the season and on a lot of college coaches radar.
