Maya McCorkle has been dominating on all areas of the court. Everyone knows how she can handle the ball, but what’s been impressive is her expansion of her skills. She can guard anyone in the paint and around the perimeter not letting people bully her out of the way. This translates well to her offense knowing how to combine guard moves with the ball and post moves to score some points. She’s been scoring on all levels of the court knowing how to create space for herself. She’s tough getting inside to grab rebounds on both ends.
Serenity McNair is another one that has a finesse with the ball getting by her opponents with ease. She pushes the tempo weaving in and out of her opponents up the court using nice change of direction moves to create separation. She gets to the hoop penetrating the paint finding ways to score herself or dish it to her teammates. She can certainly knock down her shot from deep. Not only is she an offensive threat, but she’s been averaging double digits in rebounds as well.

She guards a variety of opponents as well using her length to deflect passes and grab steals effectively. Her chemistry with her teammates is apparent knowing how to zip passes to them in order to get her team some points.
Icyss Storm has been having her way at Grace Christian working both the high and low post. She can catch the ball at the free throw line weighing her options whether or not she wants to put up her shot or drive to the basket. She is constantly moving in the paint relocating to make sure she gets the open look for some points. She battles against contact absorbing the energy it seems to make her points. She follows shots going after rebounds, and she hustles back on defense stopping fast break points for her opponents.
Highlights
Jashontae Harris is a high motor guard who can make plays all over the court. She doesn’t shy away from taking the game over when her team needs her to making shots from deep and attacking the basket. She’s a tough defender knowing how to keep her opponent in front of her, and her ability to pick the pocket of her opponents and push the ball up the court is fun to watch.
Madison Pounds has been a nice addition for NC GBB immediately rising to the challenge of the increased tempo this team plays. She does all of the little things for her team grabbing steals, driving hard to the hoop, and knocking down shots from all over. Her anticipation on defense allows her to jump into passing lanes to grab steals and send the other direction. She doesn’t seem to have another speed besides full speed knowing how to push the tempo and get back on defense for a stop.
