Macy Comito
The Carlisle guard is one of the state’s leaders in assists among 26s, and after seeing her this summer, it’s not hard to see why. She sees the floor well and isn’t necessarily explosive, but she’s quick. I loved how swift she was with her handle, and when she put the ball on the floor, you could tell her defender would get caught on their back foot, and it would always allow Comito to go to work.
Jenica Lewis Jenica Lewis 5'10" | PG Johnston | 2026 State IA
There aren’t many, if any, more talented 2026s in the country. Lewis is one the smoothest kids I saw this past summer in any age group, and she was playing up with now seniors and has been for a few years. At Johnston, she’s not asked to carry the Dragons’ offense by any means, but she’s fit into a role that allows her to keep things simple and adjust to playing with a new group of players. However, even though she’s not at the top of any statistical category, she’s more than capable of swinging the course of a game in a few possessions, ruining your day, and she’ll see it as nothing and barely sweat while doing it.
Addie Naughton
The Lynx freshman has stepped into a competitive group and found a role she can excel within and improve the team. She’s been top-five 2026 in assists this season and hasn’t had a significant issue with turnovers. The Lynx have been competitive in every game this season, and their lone loss came to LeMars by four points. Naughton’s ability to move the ball and set up easy baskets has been crucial for the Lynx’s start.
Alyvia McCorkle
The Davenport native was one of my favorite players to watch this summer because she made things happen while playing up an age level. McCorkle is one of the few kids I can guarantee play the same way whether she’s playing in high school, AAU, or H.O.R.S.E in a driveway. I love that her effort is a legit game-changer, and she understands that at such a young age. She’s a kid who is only going to improve.
