Angelina Arena
Angelina Arena
Arena did a really nice job controlling the pace of the game. They have her listed as a shooting guard on the team HUDL account, but she really felt like a point. Arena showed some really nice court vision and seemed to know where her teammates were going to be. She was able to feed the post as well as make timely dump off passes. Arena showed the ability to bury a triple as well.
Hailey Baumann
Hailey Baumann
Baumann is a terrific all around athlete with great footwork on both ends. In fact, she’s a Wisconsin soccer commit already. Baumann was flat out dominant from tip to buzzer. It started on the defensive end in the St. Catherine press. Baumann did an outstanding job of steering the ball handlers to the sideline, setting up traps and making passes difficult. She showed quick hands on D as well. Baumann was able to rebound and hit a quick outlet pass. She scored from all 3 levels in this game.
Lisch was impressive in the win against Riverview Gabriel Richard. It was her mid range game that really caught my eye on this contest. She was able to hit at least a couple mid range jumpers and she looked confident and pure with her jumper. Lisch played solid defensively, snagging at least 1 steal that I had marked. She was able to play through contact and get to the line as well.
Hoisington led the way for Morley Stanwood in a very highly contested game. She scored 16 points, but that just tells a piece of the story for her. Defensively, she did a great job reading the offense and cutting off the passing lanes, Hoisington was able to turn defense into offense by stealing passes and turning them into fastbreak buckets.
Lynsey Biller
Lynsey Biller
Biller has a reputation as a shooter and after this game, it’s easy to see why. She has a high arching shot that’s really tough to close out on and defend. Biller buried a triple from each corner on her way to 3 total on the night. She had a nice step to the side 3 pointer where she waited for a defender to commit, stepped to the side and fired off the shot.
Dakota Thompson
Dakota Thompson
Thompson was key for Morley Stanwood in the hard fought win. She proved to be able to bury a 3 off a catch and shoot on the wing. Thompson tied for a team high 16 points on the night. She’s a strong athlete that can certainly play a physical style and come out ahead.
