Alanna Fabrini 5’6″ PG 2027 Somerset Academy
The 8th grader from South Florida came up to Orlando and showed out. A smooth young player that played with poise, control, and determination. Fabrini, was all over the floor on both sides on the court. Dropping dimes to her teammates in transition, while also being able to stop to hit a pull up jumper. She has a high basketball IQ, reading the passing lane, getting deflections and tip balls. A point guard that can also rebound well, she consistently was snatching one handed rebounds. If I had a vote, she would be the MVP of the event.
Dailin Delgado 5’5″ PG 2029 Cypress Palm
The sneaky quick guard out of Naples was explosive throughout the event. A very smart kid that made some very mature and seasoned plays that most 6th graders might not typically make. Delgado was crafty getting to the basket using a mix of moves and finishes to get buckets. She was knocking down the outside shot, throughout the day. Already a solid player, look forward to watching her compete in the coming years.
Ysamar Pimentel 5’8″ SG 2027 Renaissance Charter
Pimentel competed throughout the entire event. She showed a toughness on the defensive side of the ball, getting steals and blocks. She also was diving all over and chasing after loose balls. Pimentel has a high confidence level in her shooting, she did not hesitate to let the ball fly, consistently knocking down shots.
Isabela Francis 5’5″ SG 2027 Lake Nona Middle
One of the most impressive things about Francis, for me is her attitude. A very positive kid that was talking all day, keeping her teammates encouraged all while instructing them. The native of New Jersey, now a Floridian, played very poised and under control, making one handed passes up the floor in transition. She is very creative in the half court, getting to the basket to score on the lay. Her strong frame allows her to take contact, while driving to the basket.
Catalina LeFreniere 5’2″ PG 2028 Sunrise Middle
This 7th grader has the whole package. She plays with poise, control and determination. She uses a ton of shot fakes, ball fakes, and deceptive fakes that get her open shots. A very smart player that got to the open spot, being ready to shot. While handling the ball, she used a mix of hesitations, cross overs and other various ball handling moves to create space.
