Pelfrey can do a little bit of everything she led Dixie Heights in scoring with 22 points and rebounds with 8. She was a major contributor on offense scoring almost at will. Her versatility is what makes her so effective. Pelfrey showed her range knocking down a corner three pointer and she was unstoppable scoring in the paint utilizing her floater and scoring put backs from offensive rebounds. She is so good at creating contact and drawing fouls. Which allowed her to rack up a lot of points at the free throw line. She drained 5 three pointers in this ball game putting up 19 points total. Anytime she had space to get her shot off she made defenders pay with her elite shooting ability. She was very vocal on the court calling out screens, setting up the plays and making sure her teammates are in the right position. Berman ended the game with 15 points she hit 2 three pointers and got the rest of her buckets by penetrating the lane scoring at the rim or drawing fouls and capitalizing from the free throw line. She had a nice and one play that really got the crowd into it. Mabe showed great control and poise for a young player never getting rattled against the tough defensive pressure. She used her body to shield off defenders to protect the ball. Her basketball IQ is through the roof she anticipated double teams so well always finding an open teammate for the assist. Mabe is more of pass first point guard but she can score when necessary. She showed her jump shooting ability as well by knocking down three point and hitting several shots from the perimeter. As the senior leader she did everything she could do to keep her team in the game. It seemed like every time a point was scored for South Laurel her name was the one being announced. Cox dropped 16 points and grabbed a ton of rebounds. I was very impressed with her game look for her to be the catalyst for the Lady Cardinals success this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
