Ann Arbor Prep hosted their annual opening week tournament this year, which draws some of the best teams across the state. Great teams often bring great kids that fly under the radar but are indispensable, which was the case today. In the opening game, Dexter used a strong half to pull away from Plymouth Christian, a Division 4 semi-finalist from last year. The second game saw heroics from a Heritage freshman to eke out a close victory. The young Gabriel Richard team came to age against state power Westfield Prep, the eventual victor. The home team came out victorious in a heavy weight battle against a very game Tecumseh team.
