Quinn Grubbs Quinn Grubbs 5'5" | PG Exira EHK | 2023 State IA
The senior dominated in the Exira-EHK Spartans win last Saturday. Grubbs got everything she wanted on the offensive end en route to a 33-point performance. Grubbs has experience playing at the highest level of high school basketball, going to state with the Spartans as a sophomore two years ago. As a senior, Grubbs is averaging 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals for the 4-0 14th-ranked team in 1A to begin the season.
Addison Klosterbuer Addison Klosterbuer 5'9" | SG Central Lyon | 2023 State IA
The South Dakota commit is one of the most fun players to watch when she gets into a rhythm. There aren’t many more confident shooters in the 2023 class in the midwest, and when they start falling, good luck trying to slow her down. Central Lyon handled their game on Saturday but seeing Klosterbuer continue to make shots and stay consistent is dangerous for other teams in 2A. However, they will match up with a solid Central Lyon team tomorrow night. I’d keep an eye on that one.
The sophomore has exploded this season at Iowa City. Palmer is averaging over 27 points per game for the Little Hawks and has been dominant over the first four games this season. The next leading scorer on her Little Hawks team is at 9.3 points per night. With that level of an offensive load and boasting shooting splits of 54/46/72, she’s been one of the most impressive prospects in the 2025 class early on. The 5-foot-10 wing has been exceptional, and her dominance has been fun to track.
The sophomore is one of the best athletes in the state, and she had a solid night against Ames on Saturday. Pratt finished with 13 points and four rebounds for a talented Centennial team who can compete with most teams in the state. She can do some things that very few others can, which makes her one of the trickiest players to defend because if her defender can’t stay in front of her, she can create issues that are difficult to solve without packing the paint defensively. Pratt can be a game-changer in big games for the Jaguars.
