The field consists of Lynden Christian, Arlington, Eastlake, Prosser, White River, Ferndale, Washougal, and Langley Christian (BC). Here are some of the top players to watch.
One of the most talented players in the state. She has a ton of talent and athletic ability. Along with her size, she has the ability to run the floor and handle the ball if she needs to. She can make shots from way beyond the arc, and score inside with her size and quickness. She has great footwork and coordination for a player her size. She is a rare find in high school basketball.
Highlights
She is a versatile player with size and great skill set. She is averaging around 19 points and 8 rebounds a game this season. She is also shooting 50% from three. (13-26) through 4 games. She had a 30 point 13 rebound game in a win over Newport. At 6’2, she is tough to guard. She gets buckets inside and out, blocks shots and plugs the middle. Rebounds could be tough to come by when playing this team.

The Sophomore sensation was outstanding in the win over 4A Woodinville. She has the full arsenal. She excels at getting into the lane and creating. She is crafty and also has excellent footwork. Her mid-range game is top notch. She can easily play either guard position, rebounds well and is athletic and fast. She will be a problem in the Northwest league for the next few years. She has her Lynden Christian team atop most all the polls in class 1A.
Demi Dykstra
Demi Dykstra
She is a quick guard who plays with a lot of speed, causing havoc on defense and creating from end to end on offense. She is able to get by the defense with that quickness and speed and get to the basket. She also has some big time range and is a great shooter from beyond the arc. She will use the stop and pop effectively from mid-range as well. She is active on defense and gets steals, leading to fast break layups for a team full of athletes.
She nearly averaged a double double last season at 11 points and close to 9 rebounds a game. She plays with a lot of energy and had some big games in the post-season last year helping the Wolves to a 23-5 season and finishing 5th at the 4A state tournament. She and Schmidt make for a formidable pair.

She leads Prosser with 20 points per game through the first three games of the season. She is second in the CWAC conference in scoring behind Ellensburg’s Olivia Anderson Olivia Anderson 6’6″ | PF Ellensburg | 2023 State #37 Nation WA to open the season. She’s knocked down 7 threes in those three games.

She earned 1st team all SPSL 2A as a freshman last season. She is tough on the block and has a soft touch from inside the paint. This team returns four players from last season that were all league in the 2A SPSL. Morgan Greene, a 5’6 Sr. G also earned 1st team. Ava Bright Ava Bright 5’10” | SG White River | 2024 State WA – 5’11 Jr F, and Lexi Banks – 5’4 Jr G were both named to the 2nd team. They like to push the tempo and press and trap other teams into turnovers. They are 4-1 on the season with the lone loss coming to W.F. West 48-40. None of the four wins were close, as they won in blowout fashion in each. This is an experienced team that could have some success in the tournament.
