We caught a few games of the Florida Prospects Thanksgiving Tournament and in this article, we highlight some of the players we were able to see play.

Aliyah Perry / 2024 / 5'5 PG / Faith Christian Academy

Perry was very much in control of the offense and showed great leadership on the court. She had very tight handles and did a great job running the show and providing leadership on the court. Perry can get to the rim, pass the ball, and has a very good shot. Perry stands out on the defensive end and applies great pressure on the opposing guard. She handles the ball well and gets players in the right spot on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='217667' first='Kayla' last='Nelms'] / 2024 / 6'2 F, C / Miami Country Day

Nelms does everything well on the floor. She is as smooth and skilled as there is in the paint. Her skill set was very impressive and shows she is ranked as one of the best players in the State in any class. Nelms has great hands and gets a great position in the paint. Once she gets it she knows what to do with it. She also rebounds very well on both ends of the court. Nelms moves well without the ball and shows a great time when flashing to the goal for the ball. She shows great composure on the floor and she can shoot the midrange turn-around jumper and can score from all levels on the court. She can score at all levels, but the paint is her domain.

[player_tooltip player_id='243885' first='Jada' last='Eads'] / 2024 / 5'7 PG / Lake Highland Prep

Eads (cover was one of the top players at the tournament. She has the ability to score in so many ways: floaters on fast breaks, relentless attacks at the rim, a smooth pull-up jumper, and the ability to shoot it from downtown. Defensively, she was aggressive and applied great on-ball pressure. Eads was also special in the transition game and was likely the fastest player on the court. She is ranked as one of the top Juniors in the state of Florida and you will get no arguments from here. She is a special and elite player.

[player_tooltip player_id='247163' first='Jade' last='Lewis'] / 2023 / 5'7 SG / Bishop Moore

Really was impressed with the point guard for Bishop Moore. She was impressive running the point. She can pass it, shoot the three, and can drive the ball to the goal. She is also crafty at drawing the defense and dishing to open teammates.

Naveyah Damon / 2023 / 6'0 F / Miami Country Day

Damon was very good on the court. She showed great footwork and knows how to put the ball in the basket. She was very impressive competing in the painted area.

[player_tooltip player_id='221653' first='Jada' last='Johnson'] / 2025 / 5'9 F / Miami Country Day

There was a stretch where the Sophomore forward was the best shooter on the court. She wasn't playing against a cupcake team - she was balling against Lake Highland Prep and raining three to four straight three-pointers from deep in the corner. Johnson played well on both ends of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='349326' first='Nykeria' last='Thomas'] / 2024 / 5' 10 CG, F / Mandarin

Thomas handled the ball well and was unstoppable in the paint. Thomas's versatility was impressive. She normally plays on the wing or runs the point, but against Ocoee she played with her back to the basket and used some great "big man" post moves to get buckets. Defensively, Thomas played well and really got after it on the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='426955' first='Analyse' last='Rios'] / 2023 / 5'4 PG / Timbercreek

Rios knocked down several three-pointers and 50 percent from the field en route to a 16-point performance on Day 1 of the Florida Prospects tournament. Rios is a tough player who can get to the rim and also shoot from all levels on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='223866' first='Channing' last='Warren'] / 2024 / 6'4 F, C / Timbercreek

Warren was also impressive against Ocoee with 18 points. She did a good job of finishing at the rim, defending in the paint, and rebounding. Warren has very good footwork on the offensive side, she is imposing on the defensive end, and she can compete and mix it up in the paint. Warren is a "big" to keep an eye on this year.
