One of the things that really stood out at the Florida Brawl was the caliber of play from many of the 2029 and 2030 players. There were quite a few young standouts from programs like Central Florida Elite, [program_tooltip program_id='931970' first='Duval' last='Elite'], and [program_tooltip program_id='715943' first='Southeast' last='United'] who consistently caught attention throughout the event with their energy, skill, and competitiveness. In this article, we highlight just a few of those players, with the evaluations primarily centered around CFE prospects, while continuing to look at more young standouts in upcoming articles. These youngsters are already positioning themselves for bigger roles moving forward. Some are preparing to enter high school for the first time, while others are heading into their second year, but all showed the ability to compete, make plays, and impact the game at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1852678' first='Autumn' last='Forney'] played with the instincts of a defensive back, constantly disrupting ball handlers and forcing opponents into mistakes. Quick, physical, and aggressive in the passing lanes, she showed excellent anticipation and speed defensively. Her ability to pressure the ball and create turnovers gave her team extra possessions and added energy on the defensive end. Forney also played well at the point guard position. She was impressive at getting the ball to her scorers, putting her team in the right offensive sets, and distributing the ball effectively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1852680' first='Aaliyah' last='Perez'] was a tough, physical guard who combined athleticism with her play on both ends of the court. She knocked down a nice mid-range shot, attacked the rim with confidence, and made a nice defensive play by stealing an inbound pass and taking it coast-to-coast. Later, she added a transition three-pointer, showing versatility offensively. Her energy, defense, and ability to score in multiple ways stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1246266' first='Tonya' last='Young'] showed a strong ability to attack the rim and score while also displaying touch on mid-range shots. She ran the floor well, rebounded aggressively on both ends, and scored effectively inside. One of the more impressive parts of her game was her instincts. She did a good job of rebounding and advancing the ball vertically when her team had an advantage, making for easy transition baskets. She consistently positioned herself well and played with confidence around the basket. Young was one of the most impressive young interior players at the Florida Brawl.

[player_tooltip player_id='1852683' first='Devine' last='Maule'] brought pure physicality to the floor and thrived in pressure situations. She was excellent in the press, played passing lanes aggressively, and consistently created steals. Offensively, she handled the ball well, attacked downhill with strength, and finished through contact. Her toughness and aggressive mentality made her a constant factor on both ends of the court. Mall has the ability and physicality to not only play at the guard position, but also mix it up on the inside against power forwards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1322088' first='Samireyah' last='Pettway'] impressed with her smart all-around play and polished mid-range game. She rebounded well for a guard, pushed the break effectively, and showed strong instincts in transition by making outlet passes and relocating for scoring opportunities. Defensively, she stayed active on the perimeter, kept her eyes on the ball, and showed the ability to steal the ball or rebound and go coast-to-coast herself. She handled physicality well and consistently made intelligent basketball plays. Pettway's instincts and basketball IQ really stood out in the tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1318420' first='Zamora' last='Williams'] played well and made her presence felt throughout the day with her size and activity around the basket. At 6-foot-3, she created a lot of problems in the paint, blocking and altering shots while protecting the rim on the defensive end. Williams rebounded well on both sides of the floor and scored effectively around the basket in the paint. It was a solid performance and her presence and impact were consistently felt on both ends of the court.
