The Benson Tech/Jefferson game last Saturday at Franklin High School as a part of the PIL Showcase was a game for the games. Two historic schools and programs from Northeast program duking it out. Two young squads with significant leaders in Eric Knox and Andre Lawrence. Naturally, with such a juggernaut of a match-up, it was decided to put a centerpiece on five different names from this very game.

[player_tooltip player_id='917825' first='Leila' last='Nunez'] 2025 6'1" PF Jefferson HS - Father played for UMass and the force is strong with Leila as well. Nunez has the length and size combined with the fluidity and balance. She is a unique player who has the ability to put it on the floor and take it to the cup. Natural defender with her agility and long limbs. Contributed 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 blocks versus Benson.

[player_tooltip player_id='255256' first='Mahogany' last='Chandler-Roberts'] 2024 6'2" C Benson Tech HS - Mahogany had a 15 point, 15 rebound game which certainly shows her dominance as a post player who cleans up the boards and scores inside the paint. But what isn't shown is her quickness in the trap as well as full-court game where she is able to run like a guard and finish whimsically at the basket. Three words: Power Five recruit.

Onna Brown 2023 5'9" SG Benson Tech HS - The Hofstra commit has been doing this since she was a freshman. The now senior is a poised player who is a rugged defender who plays with immense tenacity. Tenacious, but plays with a lot of poise and intent. She can shoot it, handle it, and do all the other things, but what is impressive is that she knows her role on a loaded team and plays it very well.

[player_tooltip player_id='255260' first='Mauriana' last='Hashemian-Orr'] 2024 5'6" PG Benson Tech HS - Mauriana is known as an electric guard who plays with a quick tempo with an equally quick release. Now with all the talent around her geared up and ready to go, she has played facilitator who can also find her known shot. This led to a 7 point and 6 assist effort versus Jefferson where she looked every part of the two roles.

[player_tooltip player_id='502343' first='Abrianna' last='Lawrence'] 2025 5'8" PG Jefferson HS - When you are the coach's daughter a lot of demand and attention comes down on you, but Abrianna handles it exceptionally well. The daughter of the former IOT player Andre Lawrence plays with exuberance and confidence, especially when she takes it to the rim with momentum and side steps defenders. 15 points and 3 rebounds versus Benson.
