So here is Part 5 in the series! We’ll look at 7 more players that have earned the chance to see their name highlighted by scouts, contributors, and media.
Take a look at Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4 below!
Daye was really solid over grassroots season and showed us what was to come this high school season. While playing with the West Michigan Drive this summer, it was her all around game that stood out. Lately, it’s been her ability to get buckets. Daye posted back to back 25 point games, with 36 of those points coming off triples. She was recently named an MVP at the Cadillac Showcase.
The younger Thelen continues to be an instant impact freshman. I’ve been impressed with the maturity of her game in her freshman season. She let’s the game come to her and, while she can most definitely score, her game doesn’t have to revolve around it. Thelen makes plays defensively by forcing turnovers and is an excellent passer.

Hardy has been beyond terrific this season. For Hardy, it starts with the little things. Those little things turn into big things. Like screens. Hardy knows how to set the screen and plays off of it beautifully. She’s rarely caught out of position defensively. Hardy is a playmaking wing that has a nice touch on the ball near the rim.

Beydoun impressed me in the spring at the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Great Lakes Challenge where she was named a Top Performer. I liked her potential and upside as a prospect. Well, Beydoun has certainly continued to improve. She’s been very tough to defend in the paint with her strength and hard work in the paint. Beydoun has had a couple double-doubles in points and rebounds.
Bussell is like the Tazmanian Devil on the basketball court. The speed and ease in which she changes direction makes her so tough to defend and even tougher to keep the ball away from on the offensive end. Bussell’s outstanding play this season even earned her a place as a finalist for the Prep Girls Hoops Player of the Week.
Bolton is like the key to the car that is the Hamtramck offense. She’s the one that gets it running and keeps it that way. Bolton is consistently one of the team’s leading scorers. She gets buckets with her downhill play and fearlessness when attacking the rim. Bolton isn’t just a scorer as she can penetrate and kick to open shooters and cutters.
