Frierson has the Lady Red Foxes playing well. Hartsville HS looks to be a #3 seed headed into the playoffs next week. Frierson is averaging 19.3 ppg and 3.6 assists this season. Jasmine is the catalyst to get things going for Head Coach Justin Johnson. She can get the ball to the cup and really makes things work when she can get to the foul line. Several games this season she has attempted more than 10 free throws in a game. Frierson made the move up to #8 sliding up a few spots with her play in region play for the Lady Red Foxes.
Morris and the Lady Stallions (23-2) have had a strong regular season. Victoria is currently averaging 14.5 ppg, 9.2 rebounds and 3.3 steals this season. She brings good versatility to the floor and a willingness to compete. Victoria can post up at times down low or play out on the perimeter. Morris plays extremely active in the passing lanes and picks up several steals a nice with her play.
Victoria currently has scored 721 career points for the Lady Stallions.
Abercrombie has been a scoring machine all season long for the Lady Generals in the Upstate. She has compiled 10 double-doubles along the way this season. Quinasia excels in the transition game and getting out and collecting some easy baskets heading the other way. Abercrombie has the ability to pile up numbers in a hurry for the Lady Generals. She feels very comfortable dropping perimeter jumpers or short mid-range jumpers off the bounce.
Diggs plays a bit off the grid over in Chesterfield County for the Lady Rams. She plays with a local Grassroots Circuit team and really is starting to come into her own this season. Kierra is a good-sized wing player with good athleticism. She has yet to scratch the surface of her potential on the hardwood.
Diggs has averaged 12.4 ppg, 9.5 rebounds and 3.7 steals this season for the playoff bound Lady Rams.
Nesbitt plays so much bigger than her size down low in the paint. Trinity can go to work at times from the high post with 2-3 dribbles to the rack. She prefers to play down low in the paint while delivering results along the way. Nesbitt has no problems jumping on the floor for 50/50 balls or taking a charge at times. She does the little things to help your team win games.
How will the Lady Wildcats do in the Class 5A playoffs next week?
Geathers-Washington and the Lady Bears have clinched the region championship under Head Coach Logan Kingsbury. Jerchel is very nimble around the paint and shows to have really good footwork. She has been consistent all year long with her play down low and seems most effective playing inside the paint. She has soft hands and willingness to carve out space down low on the block.
Jerchel is currently averaging 13.2 ppg and 11.4 rebounds this season for the Lady Bears (18-6).
