Briar Woods Forward Hope Drake Hope Drake 5’11” | SF Briar Woods | 2024 State VA is your prototypical stretch big. If you give her time to set her feet and shoot, she’s lethal. The best chance you have is running her off the 3-point line with a hard closeout because if you close out late and give her time, it’s money. She scored her 1000th point on a clutch dagger three last night, so congratulations to her on that.

Kayla Washington Kayla Washington 5’10” | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA is someone that I felt compelled to list here. She shoots the ball at around 33%, the lowest on this list. But I think this one will look much better over time because Kayla Washington Kayla Washington 5’10” | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA ‘s shot is as smooth as it comes. When she gets good looks and her feet set, she’s a great shooter. She made 25 threes this year on a team where she’s the 3rd or 4th option. She’s only a sophomore, so over time, I see her getting that percentage up as her shot IQ improves.
If you’ve watched basketball long enough, you can tell if someone can shoot a basketball by just looking at them shoot a few times. And I don’t mean by makes or misses. Cierra McGinlay Cierra McGinlay 5’7″ | CG Glen Allen | 2023 State VA passes that eye test. She has a shooter’s release with no wasted motion. She picks her spots and moves well to get open looks.
