Bishop Ireton is a team loaded with talent, and even though they dealt with many injuries, I think it hurt any continuity as a team. Kayla is a skilled scorer and a great shooter. Her shot selection at time needs work, but I think the playing time shell get this AAU season will help strengthen that. She will put up big numbers playing on Elevate Elite .

But I think this one will look much better over time because Kayla Washington Kayla Washington 5'10" | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA ‘s shot is as smooth as it comes. When she gets good looks and her feet set, she’s a great shooter. She made 25 threes this year on a team where she’s the 3rd or 4th option. She’s only a sophomore, so over time, I see her getting that percentage up as her shot IQ improves.

Bishop Ireton’s Sophmore G/F Kayla Washington Kayla Washington 5'10" | SF Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA was the best shooter on the court for either team. She pulled shots from 5 feet behind the 3-point line and made them more often than not. Her shooting form has no wasted motion, and it’s about as smooth of a jump shot as you could imagine. Washington did most of her damage behind the arc but could get into the paint and draw fouls when she decided to put her head down and get to the rim. I was impressed with Washington, and her ability as a scorer is polished for a senior, let alone a sophomore.
