The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets stood in the way of the Lady Bulldogs before another trip could be made next weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs Keep Rolling:
The Camden HS Lady Bulldogs improved to (28-2) on the season with a win over the Diamond Hornets yesterday 50-24. Camden has now won 26 games in a row and all by double digits. The only two setbacks have been to Hoover HS (AL) and Winston-Salem Christian (NC) back at the Queens of the Castle event at Westwood HS.
Edwards Approaching 3,000 Points:
Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6'3" | PF Camden | 2024 State SC is just a junior and now stands just 17 points away from joining the 3,000-point club. Edwards started the day with 2,965 career points and finished with 18 points in the win. Edwards the #1 player in the 2024 Palmetto State Class came into the contest averaging 28.7 ppg and 13.7 rebounds this season. She fouled out late in the game at the 3:44 mark with the Lady Bulldogs leading 46-23.
Harris Plays Big in Role:
Tateyoina Harris Tateyoina Harris 5'11" | PF Camden | 2023 State SC plays her role so well on this talented Lady Bulldogs team. Harris a forward will take her skills to NCAA D2 Mars Hill University next season in North Carolina. Tateyoina plays bigger than her size and really does a good job of rebounding the ball outside of her area. She works for position down low on the block and can step out for a short corner jumper. Harris finished with 13 points today in the victory.

Braylin Mungo Braylin Mungo 5'7" | PG Camden | 2027 State SC , Harmony Jefferson Harmony Jefferson 5'9" | CG Camden | 2027 State SC , Morgan Champion Morgan Champion 5'6" | CG Camden | 2025 State SC , Zyasia Carter Zyasia Carter 5'5" | PG Camden | 2024 State SC and Deanna Jeffcoat Deanna Jeffcoat 5'7" | SG Camden | 2024 State SC all see good minutes for the Lady Bulldogs and will return all of them next season. Mungo and Jefferson are both just 8th graders.
Final Game with Diamond Hornets:
Tyra Floyd Tyra Floyd 5'6" | SG Lower Richland | 2023 State SC and Taniyah Weston Taniyah Weston 5'11" | C Lower Richland | 2023 State SC both played there last games in a Lower Richland HS jersey today. Floyd NCAA D2 Claflin (SC) signee will play local next season down in Orangeburg. She finished with 9 points today. Tyra averaged 11.7 ppg this season.
Weston a post player will head over to Morris College in Sumter to play for the Hornets. Taniyah a back to the back post player finished with just 2 points and a handful of rebounds.
The Diamond Hornets Will Return:
Lower Richland struggled to make shots today and fell to a very good Camden team. Lower Richland HS finished the season at (19-7) after starting out (6-6). The Diamond Hornets won 15 games in a row before losing today. Chi’nya Isaac Chi’nya Isaac 5'8" | CG Lower Richland | 2025 State SC and Jhnai Sumter Jhnai Sumter 5'9" | SF Lower Richland | 2026 State SC are some good building blocks for Head Coach Aaron Lucas moving forward down in Hopkins.
