A few days after Camden’s season concluded in the 4A Upper State semifinals, Jefferson announced that she secured an in-state offer from Lander. A few weeks ago, it was announced that Jefferson will spend her final time in the travel realm running on the Nike EYBL circuit with AEBL Girlz. Jefferson is another that was part of both of those recent Bulldogs versions that claimed state championships. She played in 18 of Camden’s games this past season and averaged 12.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. The Bulldogs will be back in 3A beginning with the 2026-27 season. Among her highlights of her 2025-26 included reaching a single-game career-high points when she dropped 26 in a victory over region rival York in early February.

Jefferson is one of three on this season’s 4A Camden team that share team captaincy duties. When a coach appoints one team captain, on-court leadership by example is expected and Jefferson delivered in what was a hard-fought contest between the Bulldogs and 5A Division 2 host Goose Creek. She scored 14 points in the 63-56 decision against the Gators. Jefferson can get downhill quickly with the ball in her hand and those occasions typically result in strong finishes at the rim. A 3-point shot is also part of her overall skillset and she can turn defense into offense by putting her speed and length to good use.

Few teams are undergoing more intriguing transitions that Jefferson’s Camden team. After winning back-to-back 3A state championships, Camden is in search of similar fortunes as a 4A Upper State combatant. The reach of Lady Attack Elite has apparently made its way into the South Carolina Midlands. Jefferson stands at 5-foot-9 and thrives as a backcourt stalwart being a combo guard. She gives a team a formidable threat from deep but she keeps defenses guessing with her willingness to attack the basket and draw contact if needed to get to the free throw line. She played 30 games last season as an eighth grader with Camden and her play on Saturday at the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center is a surefire sign that she is poised for what will be an elevated role under first-year head coach Lewis Mungo.
