As we transition from the high school season to the grassroots season, I wanted to take the time to highlight a handful of players from around the state who I would like to check in on early this Spring. Now, I realize this isn’t “everyone”, and there might be better prospects out there, but for one reason or another I am anxious to see these young ladies in action in March and April. This specific article will focus on six combo forwards, two each from 2024, 2025, and 2026.

, 2024, 5-9 CF, Franklin Community H.S.
– Erica is an intriguing and versatile forward who plays bigger than she is. She has solid strength, a bulldog mentality, and she’s willing to be physical inside. She is also skilled and capable around the perimeter. She is playing with
Indiana Elite
Lightning this year.

– Kaitlyn greatly improved this season for the Lady Panthers, and she was even better once the calendar flipped to 2023. She is very strong, but active and athletic in most directions. She is also starting to shoot it more consistently. She is with

– Natalie is an extremely long kid who moves well, including being bouncy. She is transitioning from being a forward to becoming a wing, and she’s more of a driver right now than anything. As she adds a consistent jumper, watch out. She is a City Elite kid.

, 2025, 5-10 CF, Bishop Noll Institute
– I thoroughly enjoyed watching Icesis last Spring, as she plays with a tremendous motor and a lot of aggression. She is powerfully strong, somewhat bouncy, and continually building skill and understanding. She will be with a new

team this Spring.

, 2026, 6-2 CF, Silver Creek H.S.
– Brooklynn is an incredibly interesting prospect because of her height, her skill at a young age, and her fluid athleticism. She just continues to grow and develop her skill. I’ve heard she’s playing a lot outside now, and I am anxious to see that side of her game.

, 2026, 5-10 CF, Decatur Central H.S.
– Naja is another one of those kids who plays with a tremendous motor and toughness, but she’s also a nice athlete with developing skill. She was really good last Spring & Summer, and I really want to see where her game is after a full high school season.
