Hana and her Regs Jesuit team go into the first round of the playoffs with an 85-49 win over Denver South Tuesday night. The team came out with great energy early and made their presence felt. Hana led the team with 22 points and 15 rebounds, on a perfect 4/4 from 3 and on 60% shooting from the field. Regis takes on Cherokee Trail in the Sweet 16 Friday night with a chance to revenge a loss from earlier in the season and I'll assume that Hana will be up for this game.

[player_tooltip player_id='361386' first='Ezra' last='Simonich']- Highlands Ranch

After a rocky start to the year shooting the ball, Ezra has gotten back her to her ways over the last couple of weeks. She's back to shooting the ball well. In Highlands Ranch's first-round matchup against Westminster, she was one of two players that had a team-high of 18 points. When Ezra is able to insert herself offensively it makes Highlands Ranch a tough team to clash with. Friday night they take on Eaglecrest and that is another solid team with the chance to make it back to the Great 8. Should be a fun one.

If you didn't know, [player_tooltip player_id='495908' first='Olivia' last='Campbell'] in the name to know on the Western Slopes. She is also the heart and soul of the Fruita Monument team and she leaves it all on the floor every game. With a chance to host a playoff game, Fruita was able to hold off Fossil Ridge 59-55 in a matchup that had plenty of back-and-forth runs. Olivia showed up big with 20 points and 7 rebounds including free throws at the end to ice the game. The Sweet 16 bound Wildcats will head to Doherty as they try to punch their ticket to the next round.

[player_tooltip player_id='318873' first='Amelia' last='Rosin']- Monarch

The Monarch Coyotes have swept through the season with a 22-1 record prior to the playoffs and showed no signs of slowing down on Tuesday night as they beat Mullen 60-42 in the first round of the tournament. The play of [player_tooltip player_id='318873' first='Amelia' last='Rosin'] was a big part of that win. She finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists. Although she didn't shoot the ball well from the floor, she made it her mission to impact the game in other ways for her team and that assertiveness is when Monarch is at their best.

[player_tooltip player_id='145428' first='Aiyana' last='Mitchell']- Fountain-Fort Carson

Aiyana was surely the player of the night on Tuesday in Fountain Fort-Carson's 77-62 win over Rock Canyon and she had the best performance of the playoffs so far. She erupted for 42 points, 15 rebounds, and had 3 blocks. Her 42 points accounted for more than 50% of the teams' total points. The 22-2 Trojans have one in-state loss on the year and are looking to keep building on that. They will host Grandview Friday night in the Sweet 16 in a battle of the state's best two post players. This has the makings of one of the best matchups of the year.
