Ezra is a big guard with a diverse skill set that allows her to play both inside and out. She’s a consistent three-point who forces defenders to respect her range, but she’s just as comfortable putting the ball on the floor and driving pass then when they close out too hard. Ezra’s ability to post up opposing players, regardless of size adds another layer to her offensive arsenal. Additionally, she is a great backside rebounder giving her team second chance points.

Highlands Ranch was already going to be undersized going into the year, but some injuries lead them to being even smaller than expected. Which is where Ezra Simonich Ezra Simonich 5'10" | SG Highlands Ranch | 2025 State CO came in and was able to help out. The Colorado Christian commit played in post for most of the season on the defensive end of the floor, where she was able to use her speed and athleticism to make it tough for opposing post. On offense it caused a mismatch, allowing her to use her quick frost step to blow past and get to the rim.

Possessing good size at the two-guard, Simonich can heat up quickly beyond the arc while retaining a high feel for the game on defense. Effective matching up with 2s and 3s, she has shown value taking contact while retaining a legal contest at the rim. Highly active on defensive rotations, Simonich can utilize her wide reach for deflections on passes or blocks from shotmakers. With minimal frontcourt options at Highlands Ranch, the guard will often be tasked with high expectations rebounding the ball this season, given her height advantage.

Ezra received playing time as a Freshman on a very good Highlands Ranch team with many impressive prospects. That in itself explains her abilities and trajectory going forward. Ezra has good size at 5-10, a solid build, and a solid all-around game. A shooter that was 43% from the floor and 30% from three. An adjusted fg% of 51%. Expect those numbers to improve as she gains more experience and becomes more comfortable at the varsity level. She will have more and more opportunities going forward to showcase her talents.
