She finished with ten rebounds and was the best player on the court that night.

Grace Middleton Grace Middleton 5’6″ | SG Tuscarora | 2023 State VA was a beast all week, leading Tuscarora to a 3-0 week and winning the Dulles district championship. In the first round, Grace had 17 points and ten rebounds in a 35-point thumping of park view. In round 2, she had 19 points and six rebounds in a hard-fought win over Loudoun Valley. She has excellent hands, and she is an all-around great basketball player.
Georgia Simonsen Georgia Simonsen 6’0″ | SF Robinson Seconday School | 2025 State VA is a player that I’ve wanted to shout out for a long time. She moves well for her size and is a beast in the paint. She is a fluid athlete, allowing her to guard multiple positions. Robinson went 3-0 this week and secured a patriot district championship. Simonsen was instrumental in that. She had 21 vs. South County in round 1, then had a monster double-double vs. Woodson in round 2. She was an integral part of Robinson’s lockdown defense in the final. A terrific week from an underrated player.
Erin Woodson Erin Woodson 5’11” | SG Saint Gertrude HS | 2023 State VA ‘s scoring this year is something to behold. The level of consistency and high-level production is phenomenal, and this week she exemplified that. In a 31-point victory over Saint John Paul The Great Erin Woodson Erin Woodson 5’11” | SG Saint Gertrude HS | 2023 State VA had 34 points. She only made 2 out of 3 threes, but she showed her ability to score on all three levels. We know she’s a high-level shooter, so scoring only 6 points from behind the arc but still pouring in 34 total points shows she’s a supremely talented scorer. She finished her week with a 29-point 14 rebound performance in an absolute mauling of Central Virginia Disciples. Another massive week from the top scorer in the state.
