6A East Area “Must Win” Game: Choctaw HS x Jenks HS (Standouts)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now this game between the Choctaw Lady jackets and the Jenks Lady Trojans was a burn burner! Istarted off with Choctaw controlling the game with their defense and hustle literally dominating the game the first half. It looked like they had the game in the bag, but its's the playoffs, anything is possible. Jenks came into the Second half with a focused mindset collectly as a tea and they fought back in the game and took the momentum form the Lady Jacket and cut it down to two points with a minute and some change left on the clock. At the end, Choctaw pulled away with the win and will face Bixby on Saturday with a chance to punch their ticket to state. She did everything you could possibly ask from the Junior - hitting the outside shot, snagging rebounds, and getting back on defense in transition to protect her basket. I was particularly impressed with her intensity and body control early on and it made a big impact for her team. She has a good-looking shot from beyond the arch and she has a sense of where the ball is going to be when rebounding, because she is usually the first on the scene to collect the offensive board and easy basket. She plays with good energy and also plays to win!
