6A State Tournament Influential Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='158551' first='Annie' last='Koenig'], unsigned senior, has been on a amazing string of games and continues to show her talent. [player_tooltip player_id='832611' first='Taylor' last='Young'] is one of the youngest players in the tournament but also one of the most dynamic. [player_tooltip player_id='158543' first='Donovyn' last='Hunter'] is a poised point guard with one last task to finish in her senior season. Madelyn Diaz is a shooting specialist with a competitive spirit for West Salem. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='158549' first='Tabi' last='Searle'] 2023 6'0" SG Tualatin HS - Searle is certainly a basketball player - she has the long limbs and build for the sport to go with the skills and awareness.  She contributed a 10 point, 6 rebounds effort versus Barlow as an established guard with the ability to make game changing plays on both ends.  Defensively activated and offensively polished as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='158551' first='Annie' last='Koenig'] 2023 6'0" SG Barlow HS - Koenig has been on an absolute tear throughout the entire State Playoff action as she continued this trend in the Tournament.  She contributed 16 points and 5 rebounds as a cerebral and intuitive player who can knock down the perimeter stroke as well as provide as a dedicated defender. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='832611' first='Taylor' last='Young'] 2026 5'8" PG South Medford HS - the super freshman is wise beyond her years as a crafty point general who can lead an offensive that is structured but also go off key.  She is a three-level scorer who finishes whimsically around the basket.  Finished with 16 points in an impressive debut at the Chiles Center.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='158543' first='Donovyn' last='Hunter'] 2023 6'0" PG South Medford HS - Hunter stole the show versus West Salem with one of the most tremendous performances of Day One action at the Chiles Center.  The Oregon State commit punched in a 20 point, 5 rebound, 4 assist, 3 steal effort versus the Titans as an aggressive two-way savant.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Madelyn Diaz 2023 5'9" SG West Salem HS - the senior had a terrific showing at Chiles, sinking from deep for a total of 14 points against a truly formidable South Medford squad.  She is a perimeter shooting specialist who has a competitive edge to her, which she also brings defensively.  Never let up against a defensively activated Panthers team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
