On the defensive side of the ball, you get to see more of her high IQ, patience and discipline. She can guard 3-5 with no problem. Her aggression to get points on the board can't go unnoticed, but she never seems to play out of control. Her energy and aggressive nature also help when it comes to filling the stat box.. her presence is felt on every possession wether its defense or offense. Brooks has all of that and more. This season she gave a reminder to the city and suburb's that she is here and that she is going no where. The ball handling skills are sharp, the long distance range has no limit, and her ability to weave her way through traffic to score over or around the bigs is a sight to see. She can switch in and out of facilitator and scorer with no hesitation. She is an aggressive defender and has the motor and energy to keep up with any guard. On college courts and high school courts, Brooks is a threat to any type of defense. She will just figure it out.
