In the first game, Bradley Central and Bearden was truly a great matchup. Bradley took the lead early, but Bearden was able to go on a run in the second half even tying it up as the seconds melted away. Led by freshman sensation [player_tooltip player_id='513233' first='Natalya' last='Hodge'], she along with senior [player_tooltip player_id='245293' first='Avery' last='Treadwell'], brought the BHS faithful back in the game. Bradley had another thing for the Lady Bulldogs. The young cubs of [player_tooltip player_id='290719' first='Harmonie' last='Ware'] and [player_tooltip player_id='513228' first='Kimora' last='Fields'] put the Lady Bearetts over the top. It came down to a last second put back that propelled the ladies from Bradley. It was a great win to kick off the day. Bradley Central downed Bearden 55-53.

Game 2 of the morning session between the Blackman Lady Blaze of Murfreesboro and the Lady Cavaliers from Cookeville. It was a definitely a home environment for the Lady Blaze as their fan base showed up to support. It was a back and forth match up pretty much all game. A defensive effort from both teams for sure, but it was more about the small things that were getting done. Boxing out, converting on turnovers, free throws, these types of things were key down the stretch. For the Lady Cavs it was [player_tooltip player_id='285379' first='Cassie' last='Gallagher'] and [player_tooltip player_id='496297' first='Allie' last='Gillies'] leading the charge. These ladies had some clutch buckets down the stretch. But senior Purdue commit [player_tooltip player_id='245299' first='Emily' last='Monson'] and junior star [player_tooltip player_id='245361' first='Kaelyn' last='Flowers'], kept the Lady Blaze close. The 4th quarter was key as the Lady Cavs hit some key buckets down the stretch. Cookeville goes on to upset Blackman in a hostile environment 53-51.
