Paris Nixon-5’7 G (SETX Elite Blue) 2024 [Beaumont Westbrook HS]
Nixon was overly impressive on both days as she scores off the dribble using a variety of moves yet she finished after contact, body control was really nice. She handled the ball under pressure and saw the floor the same way, under pressure. Her mid to long-range was nice, she understood how to create her shot and drop it with a hand in her face
Mila Rossini Mila Rossini 5'7" The Village School | 2024 State TX -5’7 G (TNBA 17U) 2024 [The Village School]
Rossini turned it up to yet another level as her attacking the basket with either hand and finishing strongly, with either hand was more than solid. She finished after contact, body control and creating contact has me thinking she’ll have a huge PGH Circuit showing, and when you add her showing the “catch and shoot” from both mid to long range, I can’t wait
Savannah Ramirez-5’8 G/F (San Antonio Islanders) 2024 [San Antonio Lee HS]
Ramirez fooled me because I was excited about her rebounding on both ends, scoring on putbacks as well as around the basket on the opening day yet she showed even more, like handling the ball in the open court after rebounding as well as scoring from outside or attacking the basket off the dribble. She also dove for loose balls on the court
Kaiya Carter-5’8 G (Dash Elite) 2024 [Nimitz HS]
Carter reminded me I had written about her before and after using SEARCH BAR she was correct not once but TWICE. I told her I had lost track of her and she said she took a season off to train but she’s “long and athletic” and leaves the defender cemented with an explosive first step. Her pull-up jumper is smooth and consistent, she can rebound and go coast to coast to finish or dish and she plays the passing lane
Madisyn Cotten-5’10 PF (SETX White) 2025 Evadale HS
Cotten comes to Houston and sends a message because her size and frame did some damage. Well, I also need to add her “hands and footwork” into the mix yet she mixed it up nicely as she scored with players literally hanging on her around the basket. She did a good job defending, in and outside the paint but watching her play the passing lane and handle the ball in the open court was very nice
Jakayla Glover Jakayla Glover PG LaPorte | 2026 State TX -5’7 G (Houston United Matt) 2026 LaPorte HS
Glover is a long and athletic guard that can simply fill it up in multiple ways. Her first step can be devastating yet her body control and acrobatic finishes created some problems. She not only creates her shot but elevates on her jumper in the set as well as in transition. Solid court vision, she did a good job defending “on the ball” and playing the passing lane
Keynarjah Robinson-5’10 PF (3T Nation)
Robinson is “long and athletic” and always remember that is the base. She has UPS and watching her soar over defenders was nice, yet so were her finishes, after contact. Body control made it seem as if she was defying gravity at times yet she goes hard, on both ends and that intensity on defense helped create turnovers. Oh yeah, she plays the passing lane
Kylie Lou-5’5 G (TNBA 15U)
Lou gave me a glimpse of what I see coming and watching her set the defender up to create her shot spoke volumes. She scored off the dribble, using a deceptive first step but she also showed she could drop the jumper from outside. She saw the floor, both in the set as well as in transition and she even grabbed some rebounds and handled the ball coast to coast
Isabelle Rodriguez Isabelle Rodriguez 5'7" | PG TX -5’7 G (Houston United Matt) 2028
Rodriguez had a growth spurt, that’s huge yet her “poise under pressure” playing up has always impressed me yet even more as she faced some solid next-level talent and more than held her own. You won’t outwork her, she dives on the floor and battles for loose balls but her court vision as well as ballhandling under pressure were huge, well so were her quick hands on the defensive end to come up with steals
