Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Glover is another player who’s stock kept elevating and I had a chance to watch her go from a blazing north to south player with the ball to being able to not only control the tempo but run a team and help lead them one game away from the state SIMMIE’S but what else see evaluations here is that her fight and desire to get better is contagious as it trickles down to her teammates

Glover is one of the most underrated unsigned guards in Texas, not from me, because she has always been a Tip Sheet waiting to happen see evaluations here. Her explosiveness and “speed with the ball” blew me away years ago, pun intended, yet watching her “on the court” progression and learn how to run a team and control the tempo has been great

Glover recently cracked the 1000 point mark this month, and seeing her progression over the years, and truly grasping how to run the 1 is one of my big takeaways from her game see evaluation here

Glover falls into that “never takes a play off” group of players who just consistently bring heat on both ends of the court. Watching her acrobatic finishes after contact has been a pleasure, but seeing her develop into a point guard who understands how to control the tempo, as well as getting her teammates involved, has also been nice. Her defensive pressure, including diving for loose balls, as well as dropping the jumper, looked good as well

Glover has the right last name because she can put the GLOVEr on defense and create havoc, leading to turnovers in the set and from baseline to baseline. She uses her hands well to pick pockets for steals, but she also gets steals playing the passing lane, yet her outrebounding taller players to go coast to coast and score or dish has been a plus; her court vision across the board is solid. She’s explosive off the dribble and has nice body control on her finishes, plus her jumper was clicking

Glover grabbed my attention years ago, yet her name preceded her as her club coaches’ exact words were “Sim, you gotta see this kid.” It seems like only yesterday she was blowing by defenders to score, but her GROWTH on the court has been obvious to me because she’s more under control and understands how to set her teammates up for easy baskets. She can still use the turbo to get to the rack, but her “stop and pop “jumper is nice, as well as her seeing the floor from 25 feet on in

Glover through a 30-foot pass going full speed between 2 defenders that slipped through the hands of her teammates, and seeing her made a face as if she put a little too much on it. She’s more under control and has learned to let the game come to her, where she can simply control the tempo or take things over because her “stop and pop” jumper was a SMASH, as well as hitting teammates in traffic

Glover helped lead her high school team to a big season and a nice run in the playoffs but watching her at the Simmie Colson Classic and seeing her “on the court” progression in purpose was nice and here’s why. She’s an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends but her explosiveness and being under control has risen. She scored off the dribble, dropped the jumper, and saw the floor but her “on the ball” pressure needs to be mentioned as well

Glover has always shown she had speed with the ball, and being able to blow by defenders in the open court and in the set was a plus. She’s more under control doing it so now it’s a major plus, especially when she can see the floor in transition from 20 feet away. She scored off the dribble, dropped the jumper, and played solid defense

Classic see evaluation here . She’s always been explosive yet she’s more under control and when you have that as well as SWB, speed with the ball, that’s a nice combination. She blows by defenders to score or dish yet her finishes after contact are very nice, so is her pull-up jumper in the set as well as “stop and pop” in transition yet her smothering defense baseline to baseline is special
